For Bullstrap or Luckcoin, do the camera bumps actually full protect the camera lenses? I once got a Ryan London case and I am certain that the bump on the case did not fully protect the lenses. Thanks all!
The camera bump fully protects the lenses on my 15 pro.

Final patina for two of my leather cases for the 15 Pro. Andar Aspen in Navy (left) and Bullstrap in bourbon (center), have been in use for about 10-11 months. The right is the Andar Aspen in Navy for my incoming 16 Pro Max…can see th me final color shift.

Also of note to me is how good Andar’s leather becomes once it’s had a chance to absorb some oils. Out of the box they’re always a bit stiff, but after a little while they become the perfect blend of supple and durable IMO. I’ll probably also pick up a Bullstrap (in terra this time) later but I’m going to see if there’s a sale or coupon I could use so I’m not spending $100 on a case.

Looks awesome! Both aged really well. I take it you prefer the Adar to the BS? The navy is really nice color. I have a camel tan on for my 14PM, but the buttons were so sharp on it. It barely has been used. Went BS for the 16 pro, so I hope it ages beautifully.

You decided to go big this time around?

I like both cases quite a lot. I think I used them about equally over the past year. I got the Andar first this year because they are more reasonably priced, and I think $90 for a Bullstrap plus shipping is hard to swallow, so I'll wait until black Friday or another sale to hopefully save $15-20. I think as they've aged I like the Andar leather a little more, as it just feels like a well seasoned pure high quality leather, while Bullstrap's leather is just feels a little too over-treated. Again, these are minor differences, and I really like the Bullstrap case (and it honestly feels a little nicer out of the box...the Andars feel a little too hard and smooth out of the box...but season in nicely once they absorb some oils from your hand.)

Both are quality cases, and it's nice that Bullstrap gives you a free replacement each year if you keep your phone for a long time.

I did decide to go big this year...really for the first time ever. I've owned 6.3" phones before (OnePlus 6, and Pixel 6 and Pixel 7), and have generally preferred small phones, but as phones are getting slightly larger, the small phones are already nearly a two handed device, and as I'm getting older, having a bigger screen feels like more of a nice thing to have, so I'm going to give it a run. I'm also excited for fewer typos with the keyboard. :)

I may pickup the Andar at some point. I really wish they had done the Orange again. Maybe they will down the road. Thanks for your thoughts.

I switched and went smaller this time. I got tired of the big phone and the weight of it. I use to always go small, so I am kind of looking forward to the small phone again. Hopefully I won't fat finger it too much. I thought maybe the 6.3 inch screen would be a bit better than the old 6.1. 6.9 is really pushing it for me on the big phone, and then add the weight of a leather case and its tipping the scales for me. lol

The problem with all these leather cases is that they’re too bulky compared to the Apple leather case.
After over a year of looking, there is absolutely none of these leather cases that are as thin as the Apple leather case. I don't know why the manufacturers can't figure this out. Bare claimed they had it with the 15 series cases, but they were not as thin as Apples and their buttons has issues. I accepted that this thinness would never come back. Have to choose a leather case that ticks other boxes because the thinness will never be there.

Agreed. It’s a damn shame.

Apple really s*** the bed with FineWoven then nothing in the premium space this around. It sucks that if we want a thin case the Apple silicon one is our only options when it comes to thinness like the Apple leather case.
I’m kind of forced to get the silicone case since there are no other options from Apple. I don’t want the clear case. I’m not too happy about it because the silicone cases attract too much lint. This alone will drive me insane. Apple could have at least released faux leather instead.

I wish someone had a really nice blue. Bullstraps seems to be way darker than the marketing photos, which is about perfect. That andar blue looks nice brand new, but darkens up quite a bit with patina. Hmmmm

Have you checked out the Torro leather case in blue?

Does the Andar navy have a green hue to it?

Yep I have ordered the silicone as well. I will try it out until my BS comes and see how the cutout is.

Part of the reason I went with the Pro and not the Pro Max was because I knew the leather cases could be thicker than Apple's and I couldn't not handle more thickness to the PM.

With case in hand I don't mind the cutout for the camera button at all. I think it transitions well and will likely provide better access than a fairly thick surround hole cutout (leather can't get ultra thin at the button area). Looks like a lot of cases that have an open bottom (like Bullstrap), just at the edge. I personally quite like their buttons too, but that's personal.

Maybe I had a bad case, but mine were sharp on the edges, and were hard to push.

I honestly think the HOLE is going to be a blessing in disguise. I'll bet anything this new camera control button gets activated and swiped on accidentally by everyone purchasing the apple/beats cases.

I hope not. I am gonna rock the Apple silicone and a leather case at times. Hoping the silicone works fine for when I just want a smooth no cutout experience. I think the cutout is the correct way if leather cases don’t do a button.
