Would you mind posting pics of the front and the side with the camera control? How’s it for you accessing the camera control through the cut out?
I did't realize how right you guys would be. I ordered the Decoded case at 9:30 this morning, and I got a shipping notification at 10:30! That is incredible. Can't wait to get it to try out.
People were too quick to judge Andar imo. The capture button is so shallow that all the precise small cutouts feel terrible to use on other cases compared to just leaving a gap like Andar did.
The best solution is covered with capacitive button, but without that, a big opening is definitely more usable for such a flat button.

I think the HOLE + "scoop" combo will be the ultimate winner for both reach and tactility of Camera Control, but that's just not going to be happening on these wraparound-leather cases, unless someone puts a little sculpted TPU bit there.
I half agree. I think Andar's choice might actually not be that bad of an idea, but the covered button isn't great to me. Apple the ones who made it didn't even make the best button for it. In terms of feel, it's rough. I think the covered button is going to be hard. The cutout hole I think is actually better, but we shall see in time.

It' a Rumwot. It feels very much like Apples 13PM case I had. It's thin, buttons are decent, and the camera cutout is pretty wide. If it had better leather it would be almost perfect.

I bought a few different cases to try out. I've liked Lonli in the past but the notch that Lonli is using doesn't work for me so it's going back. I don't like that the edge of the screen protector is exposed in that area.
I also have a Nomad Modern sitting there but don't think it's worth the price.
Can’t say it’s been a problem for me. I charge via a magsafe stand the majority of the time. My VW also has wireless charging so I only use Apples USBC cord when I’m travelling without my car. I don’t have any third party cables.
I have a chunky-ish Native Union cable and it still fits. It doesn't work with my portable battery cable. Thankfully I only really use it when my power goes out for an extended time.

Hey guys, any suggestions for a leather case similar to the Apple slip case for a 16 Pro Max? I absolutely loved that case; the reinforced sides, wallet that hid my cards and lanyard made it such a great daily driver. I haven’t seen any slip case like it in all my research sadly.
My friend tried the crazy horse one, but the wool lining and the way all your cards just fall out when your phones removed is a pretty big turnoff.
I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on Lucrin incidentally, but the lack of reviews or even in person pictures is a bit un-nerving. Any suggestions would be appreciated

.Just a note on the Nomad Modern. It's a hard no for me. The button cutout is too small. I have fairly thin fingers and it's still a little hard to press the button. And when I do the TPU next to the screen is so thin it flexes.
One other negative about the Rumwot (my previous post) is the magnet isn't the strongest. It's not horrible but I'm used to the Bare Skin that was pretty strong.

This is the question of the last two years. There is no clear cut replacement. A lot of people here love the Luckycoin, but they have not released their 16 series cases. Decoded seems to be another one that comes highly recommended. I have ordered on and it should be here next week. Other than that, cheap ones off Amazon and Aliexpress are about the only other choices for similar to Apple. The hut is still on I think for most.
Agree. Have mine on now and am enjoying it looks better with phone in it. I would have probably try the button version if they made it but the large cutout is easy access and actually provides a place to rest my finger at times giving a better grip on the pro max.
Yeah, I am an afraid the just cutout hole on a lot of these cases is just gonna be bad. Some will get it right, but others will make it impossible to use the camera control “button”.

I bought a Mujjo leather case, which has a small cutout that doesn't extend to either edge of the case and the problem is that the camera control button is basically impossible to use. If you're using something like leather, you probably either have to give up and cover that button or include a rather large cutout, like the Andar case.
Edit: or there's this possibility, snipped from the blurb for Apple's silicone cases. Haven't tried it, so I'm not sure how well that works.
Below. You can see the short ramps and tight cutout. These are good replacements for the Apple leather cases, but this cutout is almost completely unusable for me and probably for most adult males.
That is absolutely terrible. They should not have even bothered and just hacked the section out like Andar. That is really trash.
Thanks for this review. I owned the Mujjo leather for my 15 Pro and thought it was great, at first. The MagSafe magnets were very weak though and the leather hasn’t performed especially well, so I’ll pass this year.
I do have the new Apple Silicone case on my iPhon 16 Pro and really love the button they’re using for Camera Control on it.
That's helpful feedback. I need a case...I drop my phone more often than I'd like to admit. This Mujjo isn't going to work if I ever want to use the camera contol button, so it probably should go back ASAP. I like the Andar leather case, even with (and because of) the massive cut-out, but who knows how long that would take to arrive.
I've never liked the high-friction silicone cases. The Beats case seems like it would be better, but the colors (all four of them 🙄 ) are not appealing. And the nearly full-width cut-out on the bottom seems like a significant loss in protection for drops. I am going to go back to the Apple Store today or tomorrow to see if I can live with either the Apple silicone case or the Beats case, though I'm not optimistic. 🤷♂️

BS case has shipped and will be Monday. Pretty excited to see what it brings. That is until LC decides to do something. Looking forward to the open bottom, and crossing my fingers that the camera control cutout is good enough.
