I bought one last year for my 15 Pro, but it felt more like hard plastic than even faux leather. How does it feel to you? Is it smooth or soft to the touch? Every year since Apple discontinued the leather cases I’m keeping an eye on these cases.

a little smooth, smoother than OEM leather I have for my 13 mini right next to it. But less so than other Ali ones I've felt in the past. May be wild variation - these buttons are a little less stiff to press than the other one I experienced but not as soft press as the OEM either.

And the camera button cutout is more recessed than my Spigen ultra hybrid one was but not a deal breaker all things considered. Just a little more of a nussiance

I also have a Spigen ultra hybrid coming with the camera button cover so it isn't an indent :p should be a nice trio between that, this, and an OEM Ultramarine Silicone I have as well for rotating.

So for those interested, someone on Reddit got their minimalist BS case and says the CC cutout is great. Sounds very promising.

Looking forward to mine.

Looks and sounds nice. Mind sharing a link please? ;)

It's early as I just got my phone about 20 minutes ago, but the cutout might actually have been the correct choice. The only case I currently have is the Apple silicon, and I have to say I am not loving the way the button on the case feels. It's not very smooth. Ready to test out the cutout option.
Cut-out has 3 main benefits:
  1. It eliminates accidental presses of the Camera Control Button
  2. It makes it easier to quickly find the Camera Control Button
  3. You are interacting directly with the Camera Control Button

I am awaiting my RL closed bottom case....UPS label was generated but hasn't been pickled up yet. Currently using the Apple silicon and I like the way they did the button cover. I am hoping the way RL did the cutout will allow for easy enough access and swiping, but cutting down on accidental presses would be a good thing. Then RL or Andar or another top leather brand will introduce a working button cover version in a few months and I'll probably be as sucker.

Does it feel like the real deal? If so link?

lol :p it does not feel like the real deal but it does not feel wildly off IMHO. I'm happy with it for the price paid and lack of alternatives of that style at the moment (..as far as I know, didn't search high and low). I'd always prefer OEM if it were offered.

If you're more after natural leather, Bullstrap or Ryan London or those types are probably the way to go. This is to scratch the itch of yesteryear's offerings:

Purchased a 16 Pro in Desert Titanium and I'm struggling to find a leather case that would match well with the color.

Black is an obvious choice, but was hoping for a lighter color. I think most darker browns would clash with the Desert Titanium (so that rules out Nomad).

I think a navy blue could work, or some type of sand/dune/taupe color (Bullstrap?)

I've been scowering YouTube and came across this Sandmarc case, their colors seem to match pretty well. Never heard of them before:

Open to ideas!

@mikext and @DR3MCLAREN where are the LC patina pictures? I know this thread has been blowing up with new case talk, but want to see some nice patina photos.
I also posted one a few pages back:

I switch out cases too often. I've had my LuckyCoin since February and have only used it for just about 30 days in total 😬. I need to stick to one case lol.

I would, however, love another LuckyCoin update from @JerryIII.

I think Bullstrap's Sienna (or an equivalent shade in other brands) with the Desert Ti would be class all the way. Some contrast without being too matchy-matchy.
