OK, slightly disappointing I guess. I actually raised the issue of the buttons being different finishes and they are meant to be sending me a replacement when in stock. I said that I presume all cases made in future would have consistent buttons...
It's pretty safe to say, any leather cases that are mass produced are almost a given to be manufactured in China.

4 years ago... That's not the case (no pun intended) now, like I said - email and ask!
I asked Ryan London this same question earlier this year and got the exact same response. To be fair, the RL open-bottom is my fave leather case along with the LuckyCoin.

Pretty sure it’s been said to death on here but the Ryan London OB case is identical to the YMW leather cases on AliExpress.

Knowing that, I’ll still buy from Ryan London because they seem like an awesome small business and still want to give them my support.

Agreed, and their customer service is always on point.

Yes, handmade in London. BS on the other hand are assembled in China.
Nomad as well? That brand is very popular for many years.
Yep, handmade in London (not just phone cases though, they do a range of leather goods), and the leather is of noticeably higher quality than nomad.

To me this justifies the higher price, but that is completely subjective.
Read all of y’all comments here about their cases. They have the tannery and the craftsmanship based in London, and they create the cases there. They are the ones that ship their products from their country of London UK 🇬🇧 to internationally. Only big difference is that they do not carry Apple Watch bands, they specialize in Apple cases for iPhone and iPad.

Looking to give the OB in black a try this year for the first time. Based on your review and others, I believe I'll be very pleased.

Is three leather cases too many? Naw I don't think so. I need options.

I have way too many leather cases too lol. It's nice to switch things up from time to time.
Of course! It's a bit strange to only have the Bullstrap while I wait for the CB RL to arrive. After that, I'll have to wait again for the OB RL. One must have at least one case from each of the best two leather case makers.

What color did you get it in?

In black.

The lighting isn’t ideal, but the black color is appealing. While it lacks a strong leather scent. The buttons are high quality though. I don’t mind the CC cutout, but the sharp USB-C port is a drawback for me. On the plus side, it’s nice and thin—almost as slim as the old Apple leather cases, which is a definite advantage.

Just picked up the Le Pelle leather case in blue off Amazon for my 16 Pro. For the price it's great! Reminds me of the Apple leather case with its dimensions, it's the slimmest one I've found since Apple discontinued theirs. Leather has a nice scent (not to the level of Ryan London or Bullstrap, but it's 1/2 the cost). I'm tempted by the green color once they have it back in stock.

That looks great. I didn't realize Nomad's leather case had such a big cutout.

Thanks for the photos! I ordered it to try it because it's thinner than bullstrap. I usually don't like closed bottom cases, but we'll give it a shot.

Share some pics please! Think I'm going to order one to try as well.
