There was a post a few pages back with an email from RL stating a release sometime in December so my guess is they are letting you know they won’t replace the cutout with the camera control button version.

While that was true before Sandmarc’s bomb, Apple may now require approval for using the button. This could significantly alter case makers’ decisions.
They told me they won’t replace or warranty it. Bullstrap probably will… that’s just the info I have anyway! I’ve contacted both companies since I ordered RL for my husband and BS for my son and myself. I want the button personally

Are there regulations for integrated camera control buttons? I thought Apple's official manual covered MagSafe, MFi, and third-party accessory guidelines. (may be updated) Will the button material have to match Apple official iPhone 16 cases?

Whatever it is, would be interesting if it can be removed or not. If it's an attachment, i assume it can.
It's an attachment system, I guess it's integrated into the frame if it's meant to support those long lenses they do. Doubt it can be removed to be honest.
They've now completely removed the CC button version from their side, replaced with a cut-out version.

Depending on your iPhone model, they do a version without the camera lens plate attached.

They could, but we’ll see how case manufacturers respond if Apple genuinely wants money for the CC button. Can Bullstrap really charge $5-$10 more for their case? We’re already at absurd prices for cases.
They should take the hit as they probably already make huge margins on those.
Hey is anyone getting emails from Bullstrap saying their 11/5 orders are being pushed back to 12/5? On their site it now says 12/5 for the contemporary case and on Reddit this morning I saw people who had already preordered the cases are getting emailed that due to “unforeseen delays” their contemporary cases are being pushed to 12/5. I never get emails about my orders idk why but l emailed them to ask but did anyone else get this notice?
