Awesome, thanks! So the BS looks quite a bit thicker around the bezels or is that because the brown is lighter, so looks worse than it is?Here they are are side by side.
To me, that appears to be the case. You can see the edge of the glass on the RL version, but not on the BS version.
OK, so the BS might be beneficial if you have a slight gap left by a screen protector? lol

I was considering RL after the Bullstrap email. But I’m still unsure. They told me they’d have a button version of their case end of December which doesn’t speed things up for me at all. And Bullstrap said they’d warranty the cutout version. Looks like I’m just gonna be stuck waiting till December. There isn’t any other viable options (that I’m good with anyway)

That’s assuming they proceed with the button. It seems Sandmarc is returning to inquire if they want to undergo the approval process with Apple. Some case manufacturers might simply forget about it if they have to go through that. Consequently, this will delay these cases even further.
The delay is for the original closed-bottom case with the camera button cutout right?
I would like for y’all to leave your opinion on this. Is it fair for Apple to serialize the camera control button and regulate it in their own guidelines of iPhone accessory design? We understand that reducing the amount of slots for button is more conservative in cutting away the excess shelling and materials needed, but is it unsustainable for the company to require that the CC button be made the same way as the official cases if case manufacturers prefer to cover it up?
A camera button overlay should be made of other materials like rubber or touch-capacitive textiles if sapphire crystal and additional hardware is too expensive for fabrication.
Yeah we shall see how all this plays out. Sheesh. What a crap show this has been.
For those who’s used YMW in the past, is this the only style they have for the 16 PM? I prefer the camera bump being full leather rather than the plastic/metal in this one.

I far prefer open bottom as swiping up just feels so much better. Obviously that’s a personal thing. But I keep my phones for at least a couple of years and never got a scratch of any sort on the frame or bottom. Just sold my old 14p and like all the others they always sell for top end of the price range too so I don’t consider it any issue.
A covered camera control button works best for me too. So I’m waiting it out until a decent leather case with open bottom and covered button comes out - if that ever happens!
Yes, the delays from Bullstrap have been quite significant. However, this is not unusual for their launches. I am impressed that they managed to release the open-bottom version so quickly. Last year, they faced Quality Control issues with the contemporary cases, so maybe they are trying to address these problems early on.
Everyone claiming that they are waiting for the CC button on the RL and BS is being overly optimistic at this point. I wouldn’t expect anyone to release a button version at this time. Only a few companies would be willing to invest in adding a button to the case.
I’d also expect that companies selling a case with an open CC button will want those stocks to sell before they introduce a covered button case. They’ve obviously invested a significant amount on their open CC button case(s) that they don’t want to lose.
Whatever, no covered CC button then no leather case for me. No point buying stuff that you don’t like!
