Got the Lucky Coin in the mail today. Cutouts for the LIDAR and flash aren’t perfect and barely smelled like leather, but you get what you pay for, I guess.

Buttons are clicky and the Camera Button works really well though. Can’t complain too much since I paid $30 with shipping. Much better than spending more for the similar Bullstrap.
If they are still using the same leather as before it will age really nicely. Give it a week of daily use and it will really soften

Another issue with the BS/Lucky Coin design is that the holes for the flash and LIDAR collection lint and dust easily. Going to keep this case on for the next couple of weeks as I’m going to be traveling, but I’ll likely take it off once I’m back home.

That’s one advantage of the new design, the glass camera surround used to always hold dust where as with the aluminium I’ve not noticed anything (yet). But I agree, the BS design is going to trap dust etc behind it and against the aluminium.

Also for anyone considering the Lonli Edition, be warned it doesn’t feel like leather, doesn’t smell like leather and has a very strange coating applied. The design of the case is great, but the feel is not for me.

I just got my Lonli Edition. It’s made of a pretty plush leather. Not like crazy horse or bullstrap. It’s just very soft.

No connectivity issues, speed is the same with or without case. Buttons are lined with a covering so they don't directly touch the aluminum. Yesterday, it felt weird to the touch like a coating but today, it seems like it wore off and it's a much better leather grip feeling.

Can you post some pictures? How does the leather feel?

Decoded delivery window missed. Shocking. Moved seamlessly from the Netherlands to Iowa then just stopped. Fred would be so sad.

Edit: FedEx guy just pulled up and delivered a package next door. Ohhhh the salt.

In today, some Belemay cases from Amazon. Left to right:

Vegetable Tanned - Bourbon Brown
Crazy Horse - Rustic Brown
Crazy Horse - Pine Green

The vegetable tanned case has a typical smooth finish, whereas the crazy horse cases have a soft, felt like surface. Really great feel and grip. Scratches basically just touching it but wipes away. Curious how well it will hold up long term though.

As another user noted a couple pages back, the buttons on the crazy horse cases aren't great. Very firm and stick out. The green is better than the brown, so its probably hit or miss on a case by case basis. These two cases are a lot tighter than the other so that probably contributes.

Disappointed in the color of the bourbon brown - did not expect it to have the red tone. The color in the product images is the same as the Rustic Brown and the box says "coffee" so 🤷‍♂️.

Going to be keeping the rustic brown, though I may play the button lottery and order another. As I've used it throughout the day its gotten a little better though.

The Rustic brown one looks great! It's a shame we can't get this one in Canada. Best we have is the vintage brown variant.

Looks like my Ryan London will not be arriving due to the Canada Post strike. In fact, it’s already been sent back to the UK. I got the black because I specifically DONT like patina.

Are there any leather cases that don’t patina much like the Apple cases? Mujjo? I don’t get the appeal of the case looking like you’ve been walking around for weeks with it between your ass cheeks. Some of you seem to love that, but that’s not for me lol.

Lonli classic specifically says they don’t patina. Also anything vegan cactus leather doesn’t patina much too.

Lonli Pebbled Leather can be ordered off Amazon.ca as well to avoid Canada Post. I got one a week prior to the iPhone release and they do not patina.

Oh geez. I just got a case from Belemay, and it seemed really nice...

Then I noticed that the MagSafe magnets are in the wrong place. The magnets are way too high up, which means nothing will stick because the camera plateau is in the way. My battery pack falls right off and it won't stay on my car mount.

I checked reviews on Amazon and a few people mentioned magnets being in the wrong spot. It unfortunately has a ton of garbage and/or fake 5/5 reviews from people claiming the case is perfect.

Is it possible to relocate magnets? I'm guessing I'd have to rip the inside felt off. But if there is a plastic shell on the inside with the magnet shape cut into it, I won't be able to move the magnets down.

Edit1: looking at the previous posts from other people with Belemay cases - did you check the MagSafe magnets? Are they even in the right spot?

Edit2, tested some more:

* Belemay Handcrafted Full-Grain Vegetable-Tanned Leather Case: MagSafe magnets way too high, unusable.
* Belemay Handcrafted Premium Textured Leather Case: MagSafe magnets are in the correct position (the case is incredibly tight fit on my phone, almost too small).
* Belemay Handcrafted Crazy Horse Leather Case: MagSafe magnets are too high. Not as high as the first case, but still unusable.

I have a 4th one, "Belemay Handcrafted Premium Tumbled Leather Case", coming tomorrow. I don't have high hopes for it.

and Edit3:

That is 4 out of 4 cases that I would not want to use from this company. 3 out of the 4 have their magnets in the wrong spot.

Even if I ignore MagSafe, the second case is just too tight for me to comfortably use, and all of them have buttons that stick out too far. You can can even stick your fingernail under the button (between it and the case), which really gives the impression that these can snag on something and get ripped out.

That's a bummer. I really liked the look of their saddle brown case.

No issue with magsafe postion here, although I only use it on a Belkin 3 in 1 stand which has a pretty small puck.

Here is my Crazy Horse next to a Dbrand Ghost and generic Torras case. The faint worn in ring is in roughly the same spot as the other two.

That being said, I will echo your other complaints. The case is very tight and hard to remove, and the buttons are exactly like you describe - firm and stick out more than other cases, with a hairline gap under the power button. I mentioned in my other post the Green Crazy Horse I bought did not have this kind of button issue, so it could be a QC thing.
