What would be the basis for such a class action? What law do you think this violates? How could a court certify a class like that?Looks like a class action waiting to happen. Something gets inside, my guess a coin, and bam, scratched screen.
Are you American? Why do American's always want to sue people? seriously, legit question..
Perfect for grandma I suppose.
I hope Apple required the leather be sourced from humanely raised and slaughtered cows.
Apple today began selling the Leather Sleeve for the new iPhone 12 models, with the accessory having first been announced alongside the updated iPhones in October.

Priced at $129, the Leather Sleeve is not a case and is designed to be removed when the iPhone is in use. It features a cutout at the front that displays the time, and it comes with a matching leather strap. According to Apple, it is made from "specially tanned and finished European leather" that's soft to the touch and develops a patina over time.
The sleeve is designed to fit tightly around the iPhone, protecting it from scratches and drops. The inside has a pocket for a credit card or ID, and charging is possible through the sleeve with Apple's MagSafe Charger. Apple warns that as with Leather Cases, the Leather Sleeve is subject to "slight imprints" when used with MagSafe accessories.
Apple sells the Leather Sleeve in Baltic Blue, Pink Citrus, Saddle Brown, and (PRODUCT)RED. It is available for all four of the iPhone 12 models, and orders placed today will deliver starting in mid-December.

The whole point of nice leather is that it changes appearance over time.
It's literally what nice leather is supposed to do.
Hermès edition would be interesting. It's not for me but there are plenty of these on the market already and have been for the 11 as well so I can understand naturally Apple wanting to compete. Too bad they could not have a Hermes edition.
Hermès edition would be interesting.
I haven’t spotted a real world pic, yet.Don't know if I've just overseen it, but has anyone posted a real world pic?
Even dumber than magsafe
Wow. It doesn’t just light up the area with the time?!?! What a total joke. I don’t want to compare Samsung and Apple here but really Samsung has been doing gimmicks like this for ages and ages. Well over a decade and even then they knew to selectively activate the area of the screen with the information to display through what ever special case window they made.No. Sadly for $130, it’s not that cool.
several reviewer‘s were asked that question, and the answer was, nope. You have to tap the screen to get the time to show up, and even then, the entire screen lights up. It’s not put in any type of special time only mode, it’s literally just your normal lock screen.
Oh no you have it all wrong. Americans in general don’t want to sue everyone. Civil attorneys and personal injury attorneys do. They make careers off of seeking people out who have been “victims” of some corporate malfeasance or medical malpractice etc etc etc. then represent their “client” pro-Bono and take 45 or more percent of the settlement amount. Are you American? Why do American's always want to sue people? seriously, legit question..

Because those phones always had always on displayWow. It doesn’t just light up the area with the time?!?! What a total joke. I'm an attorney who deals with class action suits all the time, and no you sure as hell cannot. You sue for a violation of a law, and you will face sanctions if there is not a colorable basis for your claim. That's not to say that most class action suits have merit -- most do not -- but you have to allege a violation of a law to bring one.LOL 🤦 In America you can sue anyone for any reason. Literally any reason. That said it doesn’t mean the case won’t get tossed out if court by the judge during the hearing.
That's probably because no one in their right mind would buy this:I haven’t spotted a real world pic, yet.
Unless someone thinks like you do (logical fallacy tossed salad) they are not in their right mind? I shouldn’t have to point out the obvious but, not everyone has the same likes and needs as you. And buying a product like this doesn’t make them wrong or out of their right mind any more than it makes you right for not buying it for their reasons you gave. That's probably because no one in their right mind would buy this:
Does it protect my phone: resounding yes
Can I see my notifications: No but you can see the time in the same colour as the case!!
Can I answer my phone while it's in the case: wellll no there's no buttons for that, but look at the fancy leather!!
What about my cards?: we've got you covered you can keep one card in the case with your phone!
Just one card: hell yeah, if you can afford this you only need one card!!
Can I get to my phone quickly: don't be silly when you pay this much for a case that's your assistants job!!!
I'll put aside the personal digs as that's more on you than me.Unless someone thinks like you do (logical fallacy tossed salad) they are not in their right mind? I shouldn’t have to point out the obvious but, not everyone has the same likes and needs as you. And buying a product like this doesn’t make them wrong or out of their right mind any more than it makes you right for not buying it for their reasons you gave.
If trying to denigrate others for choosing something you wouldn’t makes you feel better, it might be wise to do some personal inventory.
