When did everybody order their copy? Was it on the first day?
Of course! Leopard should make producing the show dramatically easier. I really want to up production time & video quality, but that's another story - for a totally different thread.
Hoping it turns up tomorrow, or Saturday.

Damn this means i'm going to be up all night refreshing my apple delivery widget
Well this sucks...mine is still not shipped or packed. Its just sitting on Ship By: Oct. 26th. I got the upgrade copy ($9.99). I wonder whats up
Mine says the same but I'm not stressing. When I ordered my MBP it came overnight and I think I got it just about the time Apple updated their system to say "shipped" and give me the FedEx number to the package I had just received.
John Lewis in the Mall at Cribbs are also hoping to have stock, so that they can sell post 6.00 PM on Friday, but they are not 100% sure they will get some. Fingers crossed.

Hey everyone. I ordered my leopard os on the 16th...about an hour after the Apple store came back on-line in Canada, and was accepting pre-orders for leopard.
I've been checking, and it's still saying "will ship: delivers on the 26th".

When did you pre-order. I preordered on monday, so I am definately not one of the first people who pre-ordered, but you have given me some hope.

Hey Izzle22...I ordered a 20" Imac in '05, and it came Fed-ex...my extended warranty came via Canada Post, and I just bought my Macbook at the Futureshop...Any guesses as to how they're gonna ship Leopard? I also looked, and I had checked off Priority shipping, but I noticed the charge is gone from my bill, but the Apple store still says priority overnight.
It will probably ship FedEx Overnight. I preordered Panther and Tiger and they both came overnight on release day, but as I remember they had already shipped by now.

Hey everyone....just a quick question....I know that you can install leopard over tiger, and retain most of your settings, contacts, etc...but I've already saved all my contacts on my pda, my other apps, alias', etc on a flash drive and couple of DVD's....and my macbook is only four months old...would it be better just to re-format and do a fresh install? (I used to be a windows user, and always had problems...reformatting and re-installation seemed to fix it).

because this is discussed in detail elsewhere in this forum; what is best is up to you, not us. You can choose erase and install, archive and install or update. I am not going to erase and install at this time. hope this helps...

Everyone says it's better to do a clean install although I've always done an upgrade and never a clean install. I personally have never had any problems with upgrades and don't want to go through all the trouble of reformatting my whole machine.
