Damnit! It's going to drive me nuts! It'll probably try to sleep with it's sister too!
Somecopies will not be delivered until weekend/Monday
I just spoke to a supervisor at Fed-X and it seems that some of the poster on this board are right. They are overwhelmed with packages and will not be able to deliver all of them on the 26th as planned. I asked about Saturday and he said "no, that is an extra charge". If your package has not changed from "prepared for shipping" by late tonight it will not arrive till Monday or Tuesday.

I think Apple just gives them to Fedex or something ,and they handle it. I'm not sure. It's not an apple store shipping them.
I ordered less than 2 hours after pre-orders began last week, and mine is still just "prepared for shipment."
It better ship!
Did you order the up-to-date version or the retail? When talking to Apple this morning, they thought that the up-to-date version may be shipping from a different location.
Also, keep in mind that there probably is not an unlimited amount of CDs at each location. It's like that the are processed in the order that the purchases are received. When one location "runs out" they transfer orders to another location.
As much as I love Apple products you people need to get a life! I mean this is just an upgrade and your acting like it's the second coming. Geez I have never seen so much worry over an OS upgrade...

Apple sent me an email notification at 3:05 today telling me that my copy of Leopard has finally been shipped! I checked the order status and details on Apple's website and the shipping method is "Priority Overnite." However, FedEx still says they have no information for my tracking number in their system. Oh well! This gives me a lot more hope on getting it tomorrow.

First I used Tiger 10.4.10 for a couple of months on my x86 and then I tested four Leopard builds on the same system. I was so excited about all the new features build in Leopard that I decided to buy a real Mac a few weeks ago. So now I am a Mac owner and i couldn't be happier. I understand why many people are so excited about this big cat bycose it's the best OS I've tested and visual it looks awesom.
Finally got notification that my copy has shipped today and that it's on schedule. Now, I wonder, is that on schedule for tomorrow or next week..
The guy is jerking your chain. FedEx will deliver every copy that is given to them by their shipping cutoff time (which is 9pm if delivered to the main airport depot). Leopard is NOTHING to FedEx compared to the holiday season. The only reason they won't deliver tomorrow if its in its possession is
1) Weather
2) Mechanical problems w/ the plane
3) A Mack truck rams the delivery truck and it explodes (after the driver has a chance to escape, of course).
Otherwise if the package is on the truck it will get delivered. They will deliver b/c if its not delivered on time they will have to give Apple a refund since on time delivery is guaranteed.
Now it may be that the DVD duplication house can't pack copies of 10.5 fast enough to get them all out tonight, but that's not a FedEx issue.

Am i happy not to order Leopard but to reserve it on a local Apple store. Now i not have to worry bycose tomorrow at 6 pm I am sure I get my Leopard
