Any one wanna place bets on how long it will be before someone leaks a copy of the near final Leopard on torrent sites? lol

Hmmm. I'd rather use Tiger (that just works) with a little eye candy from this post, rather than download a beta. My work is too valuable to trust a beta!

FIxed! restart - any icons that aren't changed - get info - click thumb and press "Delete" - re apply in candybox, restart. Boom!

where im at -

Thanks but that didn't work for me. I drag the icon to CandyBar, the little green plus sign appears but when I drop the icon it returns to the website, leaving the original icon in place...how do I get round this?

Bring on the Stacks!

Nice job on the dock. If you download A-DockX, you can use your image (if you split it into 3 parts) as a dock theme in A-Dock. The benefit of using A-DockX is that when your dock expands or contracts, so will your image.

Thanks Moon,

Yeah, a resizable one would work better. Although in my case, I have so many damn icons that the real dock never changes. :) I can't wait for stacks. :)

That's why I have three HD's on my Mac Pro. One for Tiger, one for "another OS" ;), and one for Vista. Just boot and go. :D

You know, you could have just stopped at Mac Pro :) I really miss being able to have multiple hard drives in my mac. The last tower I ran was a sawtooth...have 2 iMacs, one intel one a g4, and a powerbook since. I try to forget about the iBook g4 I had (bad logic board). Sorry to get off topic there.

On a serious note, should I clean up this thread (compile the findings into one mega note at the top or bottom? Any ideas appreciated.

lol Sorry  I have a copy of the Leopard beta before the "near final" WWDC 2007 release. I must admit, even without the "top secret" feature loaded version, it's a better system than Tiger in many ways (would love the WWDC 2007 beta though ;) ).

Please clean up the thread. I cant figure out how to use A-dockX, I now have two docks (Tiger dock and Adock) .

3 options for your dock. any others?

I am in the process of cleaning this up! Thanks for the input. So far as your dock goes, I think you have 3 options:

1) Use cleardock to make your OSX dock transparent and use a background image that has BOTH the grass and dock in it. PrimaryMark made a few:

The problem with doing it this way is that your dock will not expand or contract (since it is part of the background picture).

2) Keep your current Tiger Dock, make it transparent with ClearDock, use the grass wallpaper. While you don't get the 3d dock, it still looks sharp.

3) Use A-Dock X as a supplementary dock to the OSX dock (What I did). I hid the OS X dock on the side and made A-Dock my primary dock. You can add programs to your A-Dock X by starting them in the OSX dock, then right clicking and adding them as favorites in A-Dock. Once they are set up as a favorite, you won't need to launch them from the OSX dock. A-Dock has a few themes that can be made to be splitting image of Leopard. I've been working on them in my spare time and will post them later. You can edit A-Dock themes and your dock will expand like Leopards.

The Dock doesn't look right... the end pieces are longer and the Dock doesn't fade in the back... also, the angles on the end aren't right.

Now, the only missing thing here is a new Shapeshifter Theme.
Like, it contains the black Apple icon on the right and the new black Spotlight icon on the right.

I'd just like a transparent menu bar with UNO menus and a normal dock. How should I go about doing this?

I like the Tiger dock -much- better. Here's what I came up with quickly:

I really want to get rid of the MenuShade dock icon, though.

This is my desktop for the moment.

The only thing I miss now is the leopard-dock... :(

Do you have the Developer Preview of Leopard installed? The reason I am asking is that I see that you have Time Machine and Spaces on your dock.

Hehe, actually, Time Machine is just the "MenuShade" app, and Spaces is the "You Control Desktop" app.

I just changed the name and the icons so that my Desktop would look more similar to the real Leopard-one. :p
