Why don't you get rid of the background image while you're at it and make it a black background? Then it'll be perfectly professional. It's in the Finder.app as vortex.png.
This also will drag all of the windows associated with the app (or Finder) you are using to another Space. While in the Spaces screen, holding down Shift while dragging a window to a different space will cause it to keep its position on the screen.
Mail has had the nickname addressee feature since at least 10.3 panther. I'm writing on 10.3 right now, so I'm certain. I click the To: address field, type "da" then it auto recognizes the nickname "Dad," and all I do is hit enter and it fills in the correct address.
Just noticed this during a reinstall - if you run the utilities off of the Leopard disk at start-up, there is now a firmware password option that was not available for intel macs on 10.4.
Nice added security feature - and also a really bad one if you forget the password.![]()

I've read that you can do this, but it doesn't seem to work for me. What is the trick?...push a window to the side of the screen to move it into the next space....

Incremental volume increase/decrease
Hold Shift+Option+Volume key
Thanks, I'll try it again when I'm back at the office (the macs at home are still running Tiger), but I thought that was exactly what I did. Maybe I didn't wait long enough.for example, you're in safari, drag the window to the dead edge of the screen, and YOU NEED SPACES ENABLED TO DO THIS, after a second, it will move the window into the other space.
not sure if it's a new leopard feature, but clicking the airport icon in the menu bar brings up extra information about the current connection... mac address, channel, rssi, and transmit rate.![]()

Incremental volume increase/decrease
Hold Shift+Option+Volume key
Shift+Volume key disables the playback sound for volume changes.
And of course, Option+Volume or Option+Brightness opens its respective Preference pane in System Preferences.
When you press enter to rename a file, the extension is not selected. (I would have upgraded to Leopard just for this.)
Just post the things you never knew leopard could do.
Here is my list:
Drag a tab out of the window to make a new window.
