I travel a lot, so the girlfriend and I use Facetime instead of Skype because I never bring my laptop anymore and use my iPad instead. Other than that, I don't use it with any other contact.

I have never used it on either Iphone 4 or MBP.

I don't know anyone with an iPhone, or a Mac computer, for that matter.

Definitely time for some new friends

I used facetime exactly once.

We were all drunk on New Year's Eve and my friend called me from the other room.

Still, I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I used FaceTime a LOT back when the iPhone 4 was first released but within the last 6 months I've used it once.

I use FaceTime with my Mac a lot. Now there are so many options (Macs, iDevices) that has FaceTime, my friends and I talk a lot. It's just a nice feature to have with you.

I love Facetime. LOVE it. My fiance works nights and weekends and I work regular day shift. It's hard to get enough face to face time but this really really seems to help. Unfortunately, it crashes my router when I try to use it :(

It's one of those things that Steve Jobs was far ahead of his time with. We've been talking about and waiting for the day when video calling was the norm. Apple made it possible, but we're actually not quite ready for it - for all sorts of reasons.

It's totally the thing of science fiction movies, yet here we are with a capability that works so seamlessly that we have exactly that - and from some movies I can recall there being video phones used in them, it works better than the imagined reality.

Never even considered it. It's just another gadget for Apple to use as a marketing gimmick, like Siri.

Some people have no consideration for others, being typically rude. Nothing is more annoying than to have a vain Siri user talking to their iPhone loudly in the theatre or restaurant. It becomes noise pollution at that point.

I think I am the opposite of most of you.
Correct me if I am wrong but most of you used it when it first came out?
But for me I have been using it more and more because more of the people I know have gotten iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads. When FaceTime for the mac came I was using it at LEAST 2-3 times a day.
Now sometimes I use Skype or Tinychat but those (especially Tinychat because it is flash) drain my battery so I only used them when I am plugged it (On my mac)

We recently used a FaceTime conversation to talk somebody through a mechanical repair.

The combination of voice instructions and the visual imagery allowed use to be able to see exactly what the remote person was trying to do, and we were able to keep him from making mistakes.

I do. It's just tHat I don't have a bunch of friends with iOS devices so, I'm only talking to two people mainly...a lot
