Let's confirm: no one is interested in 5C

I love the amount of insecurity in thus thread. In my opinion the 5S is a flop in design (unless you have a case) because you're going to get scuffs, you have a finger scanner (never used a password, no biggie), better camera (ok that's awesome, but that's about it).

The 5C is going to be a better phone fur durability and it's 1 piece, unlike the multi pieced 5/5S.

Opinions are opinions. Mine is that the 5 (which I do not have) was a considerable step up from the 4S. And that the 5C, which is "on the truck" for delivery to me today, is a decent refinement of the 5's tech specs and therefore a very fine leap forward from my 4S. Not to disrespect the 4S in any way, since I plan to keep it for use as WiFi only.

The bottom line for me is that a strictly price-based (on contract) comparison of particular models of the 5S and 5C is a complete bust, and an irrelevance. I'm tired of metal and glass, encased or otherwise, for the moment. Time for a change-up.

So if I do not like the look of the higher-end iPhone this cycle, and do not need its tech advance this cycle, then I will not buy it, period. That's where I'm at, this cycle. Saying that the 5S "is only a hundred bucks more" to me is like saying "forget that you don't like the 5S, just spend an extra hundred and get it anyway." Seriously: from whom would you ever take such advice?!

I'm in the S-cycle, happy about that perch right now, delighted that the 5C is about to land here (even if it's true that i'll probably have to sit on my hands to wait for a 6S).

Saying no to 5c and buying a more expensive 5s is exactly what Apple wants you to do.

5c is made purely to drive people towards 5s, whereas before they might've bought a 5 because it has the same premium looks as 5s.

5s=$299 for 32gb

Only a $100 bucks difference.

Well I am a housewife and a phone geek.

I got the 5c as I was coming from the 4s and waiting to get the iPhone 6.

I love it. It does not feel cheep at all, it is a beautifully made phone.

As a geek I did originally think about the 5S but made an informed decision and very glad I went with the C. It's a beautifully made phone and a huge upgrade from the 4s.

I've got a in-store pickup order set up for a 32GB Blue 5c at Best Buy actually, I'll be picking it up on the way home from work.

Mark my words: By this time next year, the iPhone 5c will be the better seller.

All the day one, lineup-up-outside diehards are going to want the 5s, so of course the 5c isn't selling particularly well.

Joe SixPack and Suzie Q that don't care about a fingerprint reader and the extra thousand pixels on their photo sensor...they'll be picking up the 5c. It's in fun colors and it's cheaper. That's what most people look at.

Not one person wanted the 5c model in the Verizon line with 15 people. They mainly wanted the 5s Gold but Verizon (at least in my area) did not get them.
I get it that Apple wants to offer colors but they should have made a black and white model as well. The colors right now are not mainstream and only kids under 18 would be attracted to them. And let’s not forget that for $100 more you get the newest flagship.

Edit: They do have white. Just noticed on Apple’s website since they have all the colors together.

I just wanted a change from the metal design and loved the colours on the 5c, liked blue and green but kept getting pulled back to the yellow.
Yes it may be just an updated 5 but it will suit me fine, i dont need to power of the 5S.

I actually had a difficult time deciding between the white and the blue colors.

The white really reminds me of the old iPhone 3G/3GS days. Back when the iPhone felt fun and modern instead of overly industrial and metal.

I opted for blue, but the lady in Vodafone showed me all colours (I'm in UK too) and I was really torn between by yellow, green and blue. Green is the most surprising in the flesh - it's a fantastic colour!

I had my decision made for me though as they only had blue and yellow 32GB so I went with blue. Have been picking it up and just admiring it all day haha. iOS7 looks brilliant with it too! Although I'm a fan of iOS7 in general and have no doubt it'd look just as good on the 5s.

Go to be honest Aneres11 is was a hard call to pick colour, blue has had rave reviews online and i agree the green looks really nice. I have the yellow waiting but a little concerned as read on here somewhere i think that it looks a little washed out, hope thats not the case, did you see the yellow?

Anyway im sure these will still sell by the bucket load and i will stick on my thoughts later once i have unboxed

Typical "mine is bigger than yours!" attitude in here. Glad to see a couple sensible people in here with a "hey, get whatever makes you happy" attitude.

Personally I'm sick of my black 4/4s that I've had for 3 years. I may get a 5c just to last me a year until I get a 6 in guess what color... most likely black, space grey, grey whatever they name it(think the silver and gold looks sharp just would never buy one).

Can anyone comment more on their opinions of the colors in person, not from just looking at pics online.

Regarding the yellow, I did see it and I did like it. I will say it wasn't as vibrant as the others or as vibrant as I thought it would be. But not 'washed out'. The Apple website pretty much had the yellow colour spot on - you know the page where you can select a case / back to see what it looks like. So I'm sure you'll be pleased if you went off that!

If I'm totally honest my favourite was the pink!! Haha. And I'm a 25 year old lad! It was just a great shade - spot on for pink. Not too garish, not too soft - a really nice colour. I obviously had no intention to buy it though haha.
