No 250GB iPod Classic? FAIL.

No 160GB iPod Classic? MEGA FAIL.

WTF is wrong with Apple?

They have clearly lost their way with the consumer device market....they used to lead it and now it just seems that they consider tiny little quirky things like "genius" to be a groundbreaking feature.....in that regards I have friends who reccomend me music are they all geniuses?

In my opinion

EPIC FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can't tell people this event will deliver really big news and come through with just this...I mean cmon this is all stuff they didnt have to have an event for...

Agreed... Apple's going to burn their cred soon on these events.

Its not such as the "big deal" as Apple were claiming.

The upgrades are nice and some good innovation - evolutionary at best.

Apple are going with the 'slimmer' is better. Soon, the consumer will get fed up of it.

from Gizmodo

"Jason Chen:

Sorry for the lack of updates…I’m sobbing uncontrollably."

me too.
this was lame.

it seems that I wasted my time... if there is no 'one more thing...' :(

I want my last hour back.

No Push?

It sounds like Push will not be in the 2.1 release.
Jobs' would have been all over it.

So when is Push coming out?

Maybe someone's already said this, but I just got here and don't have time to read through the 400+ comments.

Is the iPhone update going to contain Nike+ and Genius playlist? Or is that only the iPod Touch update?

JAck Johnson is Apple's new poster boy woohooo

Bye bye John Mayer

Waste of time Apple, I wonder how the media feels being duped into spending money for this???

Yeah considering Apple was calling media personally urging them to show up for some "big deal"........guess the media got played like a violin

What's "wrong" is probably that nobody was buying the 160. Their job is to make money and make most customers happy - it doesn't really make sense to pander to .1% of buyers.

So much for copy and paste and push notifications... (not even to mention mms/video recording/navigation)

im not that impressed so far. The touch is still too expensive especially for the 8gig model, but I may pick up a nano.

Other than that... who is not impressed so far? I know im not.

I wonder if use iPod touch users can use those microphone earbuds to do skype calls or the like?

I wonder that as well. I might get the new headphones just for the built in remote, assuming that it works with the original touch, but the mic would make it a sure thing... course, the standard Apple earphones kill my ears, so I'd need the $80 in ears. Blech.

Hm, I wonder if someone could rig up an electronic noise canceling system based on the built in mic...
