I had my try on appointment today and must say I LOVED the Milanese loop. I have 185mm wrist, 65mm wide and 42mm fit me great. It's extremely comfortable and has such a smooth feel.

The medium leather loop worked very well for me as well FYI.

You would think they would want him to maybe come up with fresh ideas... Some are still unique with magnets/clasps/etc but they basically just copied old ones apparently

Jonny Ive is known for being "inspired" by other designers, namely Dieter Rams. In this case, they just hired the other designer on as a consultant.

Mhhh i have nearly the same measurements.

150mm circumference and 50mm width.

I am still undecided between the 38 and 42mm with Milanese Loop.

I noticed that Problem too. On my tryon the Magnet endet arround 4mm before it would touch the Watch.

But after waring it arround 5 Minutes I noticed that I strapped it too tight and endet with arround 7-10mm before the it would touch the watch.

Too big. Go 38mm buddy!

As a watch collector, I think Apple really dropped the ball with the link band. It is absolutely positively a 70s/80s throwback to the original LED and Casio watches. And that's not a good thing. I really want to see multi-segmented links instead.

And $450 is absolutely nuts. You can get replacement SS link bands from several premium brands (e.g. Omega) for less than that.

The Link hands down. The link widens at the watch where the band attaches quite nicely. I thought it was overpriced and that in general the Apple Watch would not impress me, until I tried on the Link version. It feels high end. And the weight is fantastic. Reminiscent of a Tag. Whereas the Loop is straight and doesn't flare out where it attaches. Aesthetically doesn't look quite right nor did it look better on my wrist than the pictures whereas the Link did look better.

Link bracelet for me, but then again I'm probably biased as my current watch is a link bracelet as well. I don't know why, but I just find the milanese loop a bit "girly".

Would look great on some female friends of mine, but don't think I could ever pull it off to be honest.

I ordered the Black SS watch, I'm not crazy about the band, either I'll leave it in the box or sell it. I plan to use the milanese band and white sport band. I hope to find a leather strap I like at some point too.

40 days and cousin. :(

I actually think it's a GOOD thing, that the band goes all around your wrist back up to the top.
This way the underside of your wrist which you may rest on a table or desk is completely flat.
If the loop ended on the underside it would be an annoying bulge if you ask me.
That's always bothered me about ALL watches. They all close at the bottom making it super uncomfortable to rest your wrist...

I went with the Milanese Loop. Before my try on I was on the fence, but trending towards the Link. I found that the clasp on the link was fiddly (compared to my similar Tissot) and the links pinched arm hair. I also wear my watch on the inside of my wrist so it meant the Link clasp was displayed on the outside of my wrist, which looked odd. It was an amazing piece of engineering, especially the tiny buttons to detach links (I had to take 6 out of the 38mm). It did not feel 'cheep'.

The Milanese Loop was much nicer than the photos. It was comfortable and easy to put on. It did not pinch or pull hairs either! Decision made.

Need some advice as am in ireland where apple watch is not launched yet so I ordered through apple uk website. As i like to wear link bracelets so I ordered AW with link bracelet without seeing in person. As in photos it looks nice but some of you guys saying it looks cheap and light weight. So i am a bit confuse that should i cancel my link bracelet order or not.

The apple watch stainless steel with the link bracelets dose not look cheap to me it looks for nice, and the nice part you can adjust the band yourself by taking some of the links off, There are buttons on the back of the links that you press to remove the links, no need for any special tools.

For looks alone, the link. I love the retro Casio look though lol.
The Milanese however felt fantastic and its adjustability was perfect and so easy to change. That being said the link is the easiest bracelet ever to adjust links on! Great design as far as that goes but I'm afraid that design was what sent the cost up so high on it, I would rather it be $300 less and I'll just push out pins like I've always done once when I buy it and be done. But this post wast about price, oops!

The only thing when I saw the price tag for the Link Bracelet that was kind of too much- but the band is made out of stainless steel also. so that is probably why the band costs so much.

Maybe next year I will go buy the link bracelet

These are a tense two weeks for all of us, so don't pay too much attention to all those hyperventilating opinionated posts in here. From my own face-to-face experience I don't think anybody who gets out at least once in a while will object to the link bracelet.

If I had wrists as small as yours, I would most likely be going for the 38mm. Especially if I was getting the loop band.

On screen it does look a bit 80s but in person I thought it looked totally different and somewhat like knight armor scales. I just wish the watch had more brushed design to it. I'm coming from a Seamster so am used to a "two tone" of polished and brushed.

I'm also probably odd one out here but I wish the bracelet was heavier. Overall SS link was lighter than what I'm used to.

The worst part?? 4-6 weeks est. delivery. haha!

I'm a 150 going for 42mm but I like larger watches. I wish a 45mm Panerai worked for me but sadly that is my size limit.
