Wow, damn you charter give me some better uploads :( oh well I never seed anything, but I do upload 18M photos online from my Canon 7D.

I want 30Mb up :(

Oh well this test was done while streaming HD netflix to the 360 Im usually 45 avg down. I can't complain to much when I only pay for 25Mb.

Anyone else think new MacBook Airs won't be released tomorrow? Something concrete should have been leaked by now.

speee.... aww schite!

Just for kicks, I tested out each browser...

FF - 3.89 down, .45 up
Chrome - 6.15 down, .49 up
Safari - 7.12 down, .48 up

I'm on TWC in NYC... which means if the down load starts in 8 minutes, I'll be lucky if its done by breakfast.

Happy Lion Everybody!

I don't get why everyone is so convinced this is going to be a disaster and slow down the entire internet. I for one doubt the average Mac user is champing at the bit to upgrade Lion on release day, considering the recent article about iPhone 4 owners thinking they have 4G. Most of them probably don't even know Lion is being released, or that it's an App Store-only purchase.[/QUOTE/]

Good point.

As someone new to computers (bought my first computer 5/10), had I not stumbled on MR 6 months ago (and become a daily reader), I never would have known as much about Lion.

It is true, however, that when you open Safari, Lion will be plastered all over the Apple home page. So even the "average user" will become aware of the Lion launch if they open Safari tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to some fun with Lion. :D

Only if they use the default browser with the default homepage, but I guess that's something the average user does.

And since some of use seem to be playing the bandwidth game, here's where I stand right now:

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_4 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8K2 Safari/6533.18.5)

It's been the 20th here in Japan for 13 hours now. Where's my Lion?!!!!!?!!
