Will it be possible to get it tonight at 12:01AM?!!!!!!!!

What time is the release gonna be on the east coast?
I would like to know too. I'll be up till 3am waiting for it.

Not so sure, if they do it like the iPhone software updates, we might see it around 12 PM Pacific, 3 PM Eastern, considering that they do it that way.
If this is the case, then Ill take my mac to work with me.

I know they are but slow, but I have SL BootDrive on a USB JumpDrive and I plan on doing the same thing for Lion. That way I can use Lion with out messing with my files on the hard drives. It isn't real slow with SL, it still loads up fairly quickly. I will be able to download Lion on to this JumpDrive to install on another jump drive, Making bootable jump drives are real easy.

EDIT: Stated above may not make since because I'm heavy medicated! :D

I just want the mini to be refreshed with a quad core processor. I'll wait for you early adopters to post your reviews to decide if I need lion. SL is doing just fine for me but the dual core mini is pathetic coming from a 2008 Mac pro. My win7 PC is doing just fine but holding off on editing software to see if the mini gets a good boost. Until then, will be reading all the post about lion vs SL.

please lord let them release the new airs tomorrow too..... i can't wait:apple:

Haven't heard or seen any leaked photos of the MBA being out tomorrow. I hope so, but looks doubtful as they want tomorrow to be all about Lion.

Will LION improve SSD issues?

Hi

Will LION improve SSD issues?

It seems even 2010 MacPros were never able to tap into SATA2 3g SSD read speeds the way PCs can...

Will Lion fix this?

best,
SvK

I am never excited to pay the internet bill, but when Apple releases an OS that is 4 gigs, 12 mbps internet seems worth the price.

That would be great if I had 12mbps Internet in the place where I live. Let me guess, you will suggest that I move to a place that has it.

I'll be impressed if Apple's servers can handle all the attention.

excuses me
i heard about a new led monitor with thunderbolt (totally useless compare to usb3 in a few years time)
but where is the 3200x2000 goodness support by LION?? ?

How much did they say that data center in North Carolina cost Apple? Something tells me it's not just decoration... I suspect Apple's servers will do just fine.

THE MATRIX

will become self-aware...in 5, 4, 3, 2........
(i know im mixing two movies together.....so what ;-)

Nothing wrong with the Mac Pros

Just run Windows 7 on the Mac Pro - you'll get great SSD performance (and TRIM support regardless of which manufacturer's label is on the drive).

I was updating some Mac App Store apps earlier and noticed that a couple were for "Lion compatibility", or something to that effect.
I should have grabbed a screenshot, but wasn't thinking at the time.

One of them was Plants vs. Zombies if another user out there wants to check what it said and post it.

No, the TRIM bug is still present in 10.7.0

Send a letter to OS X developers and let them know the OS isnt recognizing your SSD.

I wonder what apple means by, "The next generation of MacBooks" in the MacBook air website.

I really hope apple doesn't kill the MacBook, as is the best for intro level student like me :(

Truly the only difference is the lack of an optical drive, space, a slight (ever so slight) price bump that will probably be dropped to the regular macbook price if it ever becomes the only macbook. Storage will be slightly less but close the same and you can purchase a external optical drive for $80. Im only pointing out the slight differences to point out that the possibility of this happening is a very serious threat. I would hate to see it go as much as a lot of people ( I am the proud owner of one) but it seems quite possible.
