That scared me for a minute, but if you look closer you'll see that Home Delivery is the name of a particular FedEx service that I seriously doubt Apple used to ship our MBPs.

Like many here, delivery date for mine is the 5th. But tracking shows it just departed from Memphis and is, I'm pretty sure, en route to Denver.

As I posted earlier, consistent past experience suggests we'll have them before the estimated date. Chances are excellent that if it's in or already departed Memphis you'll have it TOMORROW!:)

By the time the 5th rolls around, you'll already have had 48 hrs w/it and will probably be back here whining/cheering about your new MBP.:cool:

They move stuff on sundays because many of the members here have had their laptop leave memphis, TN and is on the way to their home location. It is only a matter of time.
 
Mine still says Package data transmitted to FedEx since 5:07 PM march 2. WTF?!


It's been that since 7:00 AM PST and right now its 3:10 PST....Why is it not in transit?

Because it's early morning in Shanghai. Give it a few hours. Mine says the same thing.
 
Ordered morning of the 26th and still only prepared for shipment

I ordered a 2.6GHz 15" with 200GB 7200RPM from the ADC store at Feb 26, 2008 at 08:49 AM PST.

It's kind of frustrating with everyone else being in transit. Mine changed this morning to prepared for shipment, but has been sitting there all day now (PST).

The order still says shipping between 28th and the 3rd. I guess it's the 3rd in Shanghai now, so I expect some movement will happen today. I've got expedited shipping and the estimated delivery is 3rd to the 6th. 3rd and 4th are definitely off by now, but hopefully the 5th should still be possible.

Must drink wine to calm my pre mac delivery week jitters ;-)

Delivery Status Widget

A useful Dashboard widget for people waiting on their MBP is Mike Piontek's fantastic Delivery Status Widget. It supports the Apple Store directly as well as Fedex and all the usuual suspects.

If you also install growl it will actually notify you with a popup when a status change happens.

Besides that I'm now such a sad geek that I've added Shanghai time to my iPhone's world clock :D

Ordered on February 27th, mine is now prepared for shipment. I'm hoping it'll be shipped by the time I get up in the morning. As long as it's there by the time I get home on Sunday, I'll be ok!

My old PC, sensing that it is about to be replaced, has officially stopped working now.
 
My estimated delivery date on the FedEx site is "Wednesday," but it's already made its way from Shanghai to Anchorage and then left Anchorage... and it's now sitting in a FedEx facility here in Portland. So I'd be surprised if it didn't arrive tomorrow.
 
My mbp is in Newark, NJ for nearly 20 hours, Im waiting for them to move it to my local fedex so I can go pick it up Monday, instead of them delivering scheduled Wednesday.
 
Im soon going to be waiting for my new MBP 15" 2.6. cant wait im from australia. going to order on Wed. Does anyone know how long the BTO would take to get to me.im in sydney.ill know on wed when i get the dates but are there any people in the same boat as me from sydney waiting??
 
I placed an order via the Appple Education Site, on 26th at 6.14am PST and mine is not even showing as prepared to ship yet. Apple say my estimated delivery is March 19th. Apple have great products but the delivery system is a mess. I then placed an order for the same config and thats shipped already and that was 5 hours after my first order.

It is same with the iphone, no ringtones, no movies .. sometimes these things suck! With Apples sales in Europe getting bigger they need to have a better system to ship to Europe for those who spend our money everytime a new product hits the shops

Still I suppose my bank account will look better until they take the $$££
