I got my new MBP this morning! I was so surprised. The thing is a BEAST! I had originally ordered it at 9am CDT last Tuesday, and got confused and thought it had shipped later that day, when it was really my printer. It shipped from Shanghai late on Friday. That's pretty quick! The estimated delivery was by 10:30am on March 5, which just so happens to be my birthday. Looks like my birthday came early this year!
This thing is amazing. Spaces is so useful. I also didn't realize what the remote could do, with all the amazing front row stuff. I accidentally hit it when opening the package and my mac faded out to black and came up with these fancy, shiny menus for media. How crazy! It also can be used to sleep the computer. The multitouch is alright, not as exciting as I had expected. I thought you could use it to move forward, backward online. Maybe I'm not using it right. I still need to watch the videos, although it seems similar enough to my iPhone.
Supposed to get up to 10" of snow tonight, so classes will hopefully be canceled tomorrow. The only class I have on my birthday was canceled, so I might have two full days to play with my new mac! I'm freaking out!!
Oh, and Photobooth is addictive!

I'm in the same boat as many other people...Apple is telling me it will be here tomorrow and FedEx is telling me Wednesday. I want go to with the Apple date just because that would be awesome but I think it will be Wednesday...

For all of you who have RECEIVED your Macbook Pro EARLIER than expected was it apparent that it would be early from the tracking information? Or did it still say it was in alaska when it was really here?
I ask this because my shipment notification email from Apple says "delivers by March 6th" but on the tracking it still says "Package data transmitted to FedEx"....and it has said that since today @ 1:46 AM.

My MBP left Shanghi at 10 AM today...so, waiting for it's arrival to wherever (Alaska?).
I also ordered a bag, which left Memphis, TN about 4 days ago and still have yet to see any new info on that.

Yeah but everyone's shipping information that I've seen pasted on here, it took less than 12 or so hours to go from China to either Japan or Alaska. I'm going on 2 days.
Yeah. Mine has already passed the one day period I think. Man...I want my MBP now...

I just posted mine which is almost identical to yours so I guess our MBP are definitely on the same plane....Yes.

Same times for me as well. Apparently, they're shipping it via rowboat.
Or maybe it was Oceanic Flight 815 and our Macbook Pros are now being used by a bunch of people stuck on an island.

They gave me March 6-11 since I did standard shipping
Even mine is standard shipping only. And they gave me March 5th. You should have a specific date in your Apple Shipping Confirmation email.
EDIT: My actual delivery date quote was March 3rd - 7th.
