I've got to say that the battery life did increase quite a bit. Either that or my old withered battery on my old MBP has conditioned me to be used to short stints without be plugged up.

It's about time... I was about ready to go to Shanghai and kick some FedEx ***, grab my MBP and fly back!

Im a first time poster.. I'm really excited to finally getting my first Apple laptop. I got my first computer about 5 years after I came to the US and it was an emachine with windows ME.. if any of you have used emachine...you probably wont need to hear me complain about it..let alone windows ME. When I started my old IT job at UCSD last year, I was told to "get familiar" using a mac in order to troubleshoot it.. after a year I fell in love ! I recently got my dad (first time computer user hence computer illiterate + non english speaker) a MacBook for Xmas ..and now hes surfing the web, checking emails, and was even able to figured out how to make widgets all by himself. Now its my turn.. I got the 15' 2.4ghz 250gb glossy widescreen + 4gb ram. My finals are in two weeks and i should really be studying but i constantly find myself checking macrumors and tracking sites..

I was wondering the same thing. Indy must be a major hub for them. I'm glad the weather was not so bad so the planes had no issues traveling. It's good for all of us.

That's what it says on Fedex. On simpletracking.com though, it says 3/4/2008 12:48:00 PM.
I dunno what time they are using. But if this means I will get it tomorrow, then all the more happy I am because they gave me a delivery time of March 6 by 12:00 PM

Well my MBP arrived a whole two days early, ordered it on tuesday and received it on monday. When i picked it up from the fedex station i asked why it had been delivered so early and she told me this:
apparently apple ships large quantities of similar configured equipment in one container, the reason for the early arrival is that they simply match the containers equipment with the ordered units and then distribute them. Because apple has narrow product diversity they are able to shorten the delivery time by efficiently packaging their items for delivery, and somewhat generalizing their equipment so that one package may be suitable for many different buyers. This has the effect of satisfying first come first serve shipping needs by creating "mini" distribution points. Apples brilliance does not stop electronic gadgets, they are also a set of brilliant designers, way to go apple team.

RSS feed for simpletracking and packagemapping arent seem to be working for me.. I keep refreshing my igoogle page and simpletracking is stuck on Status Scan while Packagemapping is still in Transit from ShangHai ..but if I go to the actual sites then it shows the updated progress.. anyone?

I have yahoo widgets on my PC and the universal tracker doesn't seem to work either.. I even subscribed my email to FEDex so they can send me an update but nope..no emails from them.. i CANNOT wait till I get my hands on the OS X's widgets

Good news is the MBP is in Canada finally!! However, it's at the eastern side, so I gotta wait for it to come to the west. They say it would be here tomrw, but I really doubt that.. but I'm hoping for friday!!
If it departed Anchorage a few hours ago, what are the changes of it being in San Diego tomorrow??
Edit: i checked some past shipments to san diego and noticed that they all seem to head to Indiana first.. then San Diego.. guess the hope for tomorrow is slowly flying out the window.

Try the "skriv ut faktura" (print invoice) on your account! Down at the bottom there is the 8-number, worked for me (I still don't see the 8-number anywhere else on my account)!
