List: MR Members waiting for their Penryn MacBook Pro to Ship

Fed Ex is really dangling that carrot in front of me.

As of Thursday morning MBP is at local Fed Ex facility about 10 miles from the delivery address, yet they still ETA for Monday!!

I may have to call them to see if I can arrange a pickup.

Come on Apple and release the Penryn update already!!

I'm thinking this coming tuesday we will have the new MBP update with new case design, 4 magnetic latches and 50GB RAM!

Now it says on fedex truck for delivery!!

So excited & I picked the standard shipping.

I guess they only ship one way from China.

delivered This Morning!

I did the math and it took Apple about 40 hours to get me the laptop from time of order to delivery half way around the world, w/ standard shipping. Not bad.

Don't lose hope. Keep tracking to see which city it's in. Mine said Monday and was delivered today @ 9:30AM.

And if it's at your local fed ex facility, you can always call them and arrange for pickup.
 
I called apple and "complained" because mine hadn't shipped yet and all i did was change the screen. They upgraded me to 2 day shipping woohoo. Working the magic :)

First MacBook Pro

So glad to be part of this thread . . . my last Apple portable (still using it daily) is a G3 iBook, the first 14" white "ice" iBook. A head turner in its day, bought in March 2001, but now it can't even manage to decode video when surfing.

I ordered my new Penryn MacBook at 9:52 EST on the 26th, and am still in "Not Yet Shipped" status. Thanks to others for the RAM links. Plan to order 4 GIG today.

I am in the U.S. on business, so brought two tiny Iomega USB drives from home (Spain) loaded up with content from my iMac -- iTunes and iPhoto collections, and my WIN XP image from Parallels (ONLY used for work!!) plus all my Logic install discs. I will be able to put this baby to work the moment it arrives.

Cool. I'm also in Naperville, but had the book shipped to my work in Downers Grove. The fedex facility for Naperville is in Aurora near Fox Valley Mall.

E.t.a 3/10 - 3/11 ! Ships tomorrow! Any idea where they would ship from, if there were going to end up in Denmark? It's 10-11 days travel.

Judging by the timing of your shipment, it should be at the Fox Valley location early tomorrow morning. Hopefully in enough time to stick on a truck. If not, maybe I can get them to release it at the center.
