List: MR Members waiting for their Penryn MacBook Pro to Ship

ordered my mbp 2.5 with iWork on feb 26th at 17:00 german time that was just three hours after the store came up again. It's scheduled to leave Apple on march 3rd and to be delivered on march 10th.

Went to the local apple store in a nearby electronics retailer, thay don't have it in stock yet, just the macbook arrived. So I'm glad I took the teacher discount in the onlinestore ;)
 
This wait is torture. Ordered mine on Wednesday afternoon. I guess reading other people's responses, I can't expect it to ship until tomorrow morning. :(

mine ordered on Tuesday night is still "not yet shipped", not even prepared for shipment.
 
I ordered mine on Wednesday.

17" matt standard, 2.6, 7200rpm build to order so I have to wait TWO WEEKS!

I am sitting here looking at a box of Cruicial RAM that arrived yesterday and wondering if drink will dull the pain!

YES! Mine shipped today, altough it wasn't supposed to go until the 3rd, this gives me hope to recieve ut next week!! Woohoo!!

Ordered mine on Wednesday (first mac, first laptop/notebook) through the computer store at the University I work at. Unfortunately, the clerk at the store couldn't (wouldn't?) give me tracking info, so I am stuck staring longingly at the phone waiting for it to ring. Anyone order something similar at the same time who can give me a timeframe of reference? I ordered:

I just called Apple again and was told basically I won't see any change to the order status until maybe Sunday night when the warehouse (i guess in China) is open. I complained I was expecting at least "prepared for shipping" since I placed my order on Tues night, but they can't do anything about it. So I guess I'll have to keep staring at "Not Yet Shipped" for the whole weekend.:mad:
 
Just reserved one from an University in my city.

Lower end 15"
Student price - 1899$ can.
4 gigs of ram installed - 140$ can. (instead of 400$ from apple)
Not sure if Im getting their 3 year warranty or Applecare yet.
They said it could take between 3 days and 1 week 1/2

I'm quite happy about the 4 gigs of ram :) Should be quite an upgrade as I'm updating from a iBook G4 800mhz and a mac mini 1.42ghz with 512megs or ram...

I was waiting for the low-end model to have 256 megs of video memory because I'm planing on getting a 30" monitor (which can flip vertically) to replace my 23" acd.

and STILL not yet shipped??!!
I am sooo excited for my first Mac
its driving me nuts!

i think the LED high res adds time and the glossy adds even more time... i'm guessing yours was the LED HR matte

if its the glossy, then i'm kicking myself for waiting a day or two to order.

my 15" matte 2.5 w/ 7200rpm hdd + remote, is in transit as of March 1st Chinese local time.
 
Sigh... my MBP was near (two states away) but then got shipped off to Atlanta.. that's half way across the country. Starting to think maybe it's going the wrong way :( My hopes of having it today died when I saw that! I'll be lucky if it arrives Monday as promised.. they'll have to be shipping it back my direction over the weekend.

same I live in PA and mine onlys says "prepared for shipment" now

I ordered mine (not custom) Tuesday morning and it was "prepared for shipping" at 6:41am PST Friday. I've been checking all day and fourteen hours later it still hasn't moved. :(

yeah took mine about 20 hours of prepared to ship, but since tomorrow is saturday you might be out of luck until monday...

Shanghai Shipped From Originating Depot

May there be something wrong or is it normal to stay "Shipped From Originating Depot" for 48 hours?!

Easily if its comming from china... has to travel on truck to plane then on plane to america then from plane to truck then to shiping depot in america.
 
im reading everyone with there 2 week wait times tops and even some people with 2 day wait times are pissed as you should be but at least you dont have a 3.5 to 4 week wait time like I do and a few others so be happy cause I wont see my mbp till the 18th.... and yes, i ordered on the day they were released...

yes and it worked fine... try logging out quiting your browser, emptying cache..

then log back in and try it...

education discount is a good couple hundred bucks.. good deal
