Rolleyes is what it's called - I know that I'm definitely going to bed tonight - U.S is 9 hours behind compared to us Europeans..So I'd have to wait that much longer...
No we don't... we see it the same moment the rest of the world will see it.
See it this way: we're 9 hours ahead of their time![]()
im on a winxp pc right now, just waiting for the new mbp to arrive.
i need it to be here in germany by march the 14th.......if apple doesnt release new mbp tuesday and makes them avaible immediately its probably not gonna make it.
wish me luck![]()
what's the future like over there? did they make hovercars
engadget adds some more fuel to the fire, please dont let these be new macbooks that would really piss me off
http://www.engadget.com/2008/02/25/yep-new-macbook-part-numbers-are-in-best-buys-database/
I would be pissed too, but I don't think it's gonna happen. Why would they update MB and make it better in some areas compared to the MBP. Heck if it is MBs tomorrow I might just have to get a new MB and ditch the Pro. I can't wait to wake up and see the store down tomorrow.
Is it possible that's just consolidating or re-arranging their model naming scheme?
I also like how Best Buy says they'll be in stock on Sunday, March 2nd, since that's the one day of the week that it's impossible for shipments to arrive on.
If you're smart you would see that if you wait 3 more months you'll get the penryn in its native environment (Montevina) with 3.06 GHz and 1066 bus speed.
If everyone remembers correctly this whole "new model numbers" has happened before and there were no new MBPs.
I understand how easy it is to fall into mania for something new but the Penryn was designed for the Cantiga chipset - they actually had to downgrade it so it could accept a measly 800 Mhz front-end bus speed. Maybe the better word is 'patient'They're saying the Bloomfield is the biggest thing since Pentium and will start shipping in the 4th Q of 2008, so that makes it Oct-Nov-(DEC)... maybe I'll wait

I think Montevina will definitely be a great step, but I'm don't think they'll be released in 3 months in new MBP. Apple will wait a few months until they put them in. Some people have been waiting months for this new update and it would be crazy to wait even longer. It's not worth playing a waiting game unless you don't need a new machine. I've only been waiting for the updates for the last few weeks and I'm already ready for it to be over.
Bad news, guys. I have a friend who works in Cupertino, and I couldn't help texting him to bug him about what it'll be tomorrow among all these conflicting reports. Well, he sent me an email with a teaser photo of the new MacBooks - NOT Pros. Yeah, I know. We'll keep waiting, but until then, the MacBooks are apparently making the aluminum switch. Bummer...it's like Apple's trying to tell us something.
Yeah, you wanna see. Well...here it is:
