I think I'm going stir crazy. I've been trying to keep my self busy so I don't think about it.

First post. Been a lurker for some time but I finally have a relevant question that hasn't been addressed in this thread...
I'm making the switch to OS X after years of editing photography and music on a PC and finally my machine is dying, so I'm in the market for a new laptop.
Next Friday is my birthday and my folks want to buy me a new computer as a graduation present/b-day gift. All this jargon going on about how the next MBP update will be yesterday, and now this coming Tuesday.
My question is if the update(s) do come out on Tuesday, will the new models be in the Mac stores by Friday? Or is it only available on the Webstore?

Guys, guess what.
I tried to purchase the MBP through one distributor in Jakarta. And apparently there was no stock left for the MBP (maybe it's just one distributor). However, the interesting part of it was, they said they are expecting to receive the new type with the next shipment.
Oh yeah, btw, the MBP sold for $2,350 for some reason. (discounted price?)
Checked with authorized reseller in Surabaya, depleted stock of MBPs.
Checked with apple store in Singapore, they offered free memory upgrade to 4GB with the MBPs.
I think something's coming up with the MBP.
512MB GPU and upgradeable hard-drive and I'm sold.
Now we're talking! And maybe an SSD![]()

No 2.4 15" on the UK refurb store.
My Powerbook just died.
My sister is a student.
The minute the new MBPs are released, I'm dragging her to the London store to flash her student card around. 15% discount, woohoo.
i had stated earlier than a mbp release combined with a new house episode would make it the best day ever.
