Well, i've suck around for a while and this was the last Tues i was prepared to wait.

Minus me from this list, i'm not buying an out of date product. I had enough im off to pre order my Penryn else where.

Good luck all, i hope you get it soon. But right now i need a computer and have been without one this year!

Good luck to you Squirrel.

Well, the part where Penryn only goes up to 2.8 Ghz might throw a wrench in things...
Well I'm no CPU expert. Just thought that if you can get 2.6 or 2.8 CPUs in Macs now that a brand new one would go up to 3.0
(sigh) This sucks. I feel like a fool. 2 or 3 Tuesdays in a row I've missed sleep so I could watch the store go down and come back up for nothing. :(

It's a good thing I'm not working today.
G'night. (or g'morning. or whatever.)

I think the best option for most of the computer savvy users on this thread is to buy a Dell or whatever for a reasonable price and then put OS X on it as a Hackintosh.

If Apple is going to keep charging a $500 premium for an out-of-date product they should expect to lose sales to other companies that don't play games with their product launches.

I'm going to start looking at PC laptops now and check into the OSX86 project to see what I can hack together.

Since Blue-Ray seems to have won the HD drive war; Apple would probably begin putting them into their computers sometime soon. Apple TV and MBP would seem like as good a place as any to be the first recipients and both are due for updates. I'm just sayin.

but a new Aperture is GREAT

This is exactly the kind of product which is just DESIGNED to see new MacBook Pros so we'll see more of .. err .. ohh .. hang on that doesn't really work does it.

Apple .. I think you meant to release the machine to run aperture on first, and then aperture.

I wonder whether camera support is still tied to the OS .. must go look

Steve must be rolling around his Office floor laughing at us suckers here. :D LOL damn u. too much power Steve. :apple:

10.5.2 included updated RAW support. We've were duped!

Interestingly enough, Aperture hasn’t even made the front page. At least maybe the Quick Preview feature will let me use it on my PowerBook G4 without it bogging down trying to render images as I browse. So I guess not a total loss.

What are you talking about? You know he's got a hover-chair. He's "hovering" around his office right now, laughing at us.

He probably has a scrolling screen of images that has each of our faces on it and just laughs at us as he plays on his new MBP.

What a jerk, Steve. You should... hurry.

Hey guys maybe if we formed a giant mob with torches and pitchforks and stormed the apple campus we could get the mbp. I bet they have stocks of them somewhere around there. Good idea no?

Blind Faith

Let's not forget that the original thread by Shoulin333 was:

Lets start a list of ppl buying new MBP on the 15th

I know there's not a lot of hope for a Friday release given that they've pushed out so many on Tuesdays this year, but it at least gives us another sleepless night of waiting for the store to update.

andrewdale, I'm with you.
