What's your situation in relation to a MacBook Pro?

Will the product info (www.apple.com/macbookpro) page be changed as well if Apple decides to introduce the new MBP?
So far if you go to that page, it's still showing the SR MBPs.

Not before the store updates I think. I had that in mind when they came out with the higher capacity iPhone and Touch. However I noticed even after the store came back online it was a couple hours before they updated the Tech Specs and other pages.

I bet Steve Jobs is reading this forum every Tuesday to laugh his ass off... while using the new MBP...:mad:

Damn you Steve!

Now attention turns to the mailboxes of people like Engadget. Hopefully we will hear good news today of an invite recieved for an event next Tuesday. Personally I will be keeping a close eye on engadget for that type of announcement.

What Apple Cinema Display?

OK, it's one more week on the list for me. No new MBP by next Tuesday and I'm gonna have to bail out, put my money on an XPS m1330 and vow never to be part of the Steve Jobs circus again.

As Howy Carr likes to say, "I didn't come here to be made sport of".

To the OP -- the poll is missing the option for "I went with a non-Apple laptop"

At the risk of stirring up a hornets nest.....

I don't think there will be an interim MBP with Penryn on SR. I think it will continue to be SR all the way until the full release of Montevina by Intel. I have seen the space savings offered by the Montevina PCB compared to the SR PCB and if as is rumoured there will be a redesign the MBP case/trackpad then I think it makes logical sense for Apple to wait for the complete chip set hardware to change so they don't have to redesign the MBP internally twice in a very short space of time.

On the bright side thought the extra space inside the Montevina MBP may accommodate a NVIDIA 8800 card as opposed to the 8600 so could be well worth the wait.

Just my 2 pence worth please go easy on me! ;)

Why would Apple wait four more months (at least) to update the MBP when all it would take is a simple processor drop-in to go Penryn? It makes no sense - the MBP can't afford to be underpowered in terms of processor and storage space for four more months while the rest of the computer world accelerates far beyond it. Furthermore, that woud also mean four more months of processor parity with the Macbook. I don't see that as being a realistic scenario at all - at the very least we'll see a processor and storage upgrade.

This is truly turning into a circus. I don't get this at all! What if Intel screwes up with the Montevina-chips and have a delay.. What do they expect us to do: buy 1.5year old laptops?! For God's sake....
