Is anybody noticing a significant file-size increase for apps that are updating to retina display? I've just seen that there is a bit with the Apple released apps. Everything else that's updated so far for me have just been really small sized apps anyway.

I think there has been unwarranted great tribulation based off of Apple's app updates. In reality, they were major upgrades that included features beyond being Retina ready.

From what I've seen, the increase has not been nearly as dramatic. That said, I'm sure for those graphically intense applications they will be larger.

Does anyone know when Infinity Blade: Dungeons will be released? I loved Diablo 1 and 2, and this looks like such an awesome platform for top-view dungeon slashers, especially with the unique touch controls.

i've heard netflix is going to release the new update app to play 1080p movies on the new iPad! Is that true??

It's been confirmed for the new Apple TV but I've not seen anything regarding 1080p streaming for the new iPad.

Oceanhouse Media Books are iPad Retina Ready

pretty much every app we make at http://oceanhousemedia.com/ is iPad retina ready. Can't wait to try 'em and others out tomorrow! (we make interactive versions Dr. Seuss stories and other classic children's books)

No iBooks?

I noticed iBooks didn't make the list. Wouldn't Apple want their own bookstore to have the nice retina display, especially since Kindle already has?

The folks who produce COMIC ZEAL noted in a blog post that the current version of their program will show comics in the higher resolution format.

If I recall, Apple already did this update a few weeks ago maybe? I remember some hacker types finding the graphical resources for retina-sized iPad, which was one of the big clues that it was coming.

All the other Apple products have been updated as well (afaik).

For Reddit on the iPad why not just use Safari? You don't really need an app. On the iPhone it's more convenient, yes, but I don't see any benefit for the iPad.

SketchBook Pro - my daughter is going to be so jealous. :D

Star Walk is going to look amazing!

Same reason you use any apps over just visiting the website. The websites aren't usually optimized for the iPad or any touchscreen; which leads to awkward usability issues. Alien Blue is just awesome, and it allows you to quickly and easily navigate reddit without constantly having to hit back/forward or holding down on links to open them in new tabs.
