Good, so I don’t feel super rushed! Have you used a 12 pro max with the MagSafe mod for the om4?
yes. i did with a moment wood backed magsafe case. worked well. you just have to play with the alignment a little to make sure you’re level. but it feels secure. i think with the plate sold on etsy it would be even better. i did the thing shown in the youtube video.

Anyone using a Otterbox Symmetry+ case with the wallet? Same strength as the Apple leather case?
I used it with a car holder for a week and it's not as strong as apples leather, was ok didnt fall off at all, had a bit of sag on the bottom, also gets the ring on the back, buttons are good, back is slippery.
Returned mine and have stuck with the Apple black leather.

just got the ESR silicone case and clear case, gonna try them out for a week and give a review but my initial thought:

the silicone case is a nice alternative to apple’s case. magsafe strength is about the same and it pretty much feels like apple’s case, except it protects and covers the camera bump minus the lenses/lidar/flash!

haven’t tested out the clear case yet but i like the style ESR went with it, the magnet on it looks very distinctive!

I just ordered the ESR in Navy. Due tomorrow. Glad to hear you like it so far.

oooh please drop some pictures! i wish i received the navy but i already have enough navy cases 😅

i also have their clear cases and i’m gonna rock it out for a few days to see how i feel compared to my other fav clear case. so far it has a better texture than the case-mate tough clear plus and the tech21 evo clear.

also just tried out the ESR clear hybrid case and it’s nice! it’s on the slim side and a great alternative to the Apple clear case! the magnet on it is stronger than the silicone cases. overall i’m pretty satisfied with ESR’s offerings, especially if you don’t want to pay that ”Apple Tax”.

i found some coupon codes for the ESR magsafe cases that expires on the 10th as well.

Hi all - thanks for all the contributions - very helpful. Just a few notes in case they are helpful for anyone. I initially ordered the Bare Armour case for my iPhone 12 (https://www.bare-cases.com/collecti...-12-series/products/bare-armour-for-iphone-12) - sadly, with this case on, the iPhone 12's magnet is not strong enough anymore to even hold on to the Apple original magsafe charger. It also doesn't hold (probably less surprisingly if it doesn't hold on the Apple original charger) on the ESR HALO lock car charger (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08HNBHSQV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I wanted to return to BARE, but sadly, you have to cover the full return shipping charges, and also lose a 20% restocking fee. I had emailed BARE, and they replied that "...with a clear plastic case that allows the actual phone to shine through without a magnet blocking it, there would be a slight loss of magnetism and thus, MagSafe would not be working at full capacity" - which is what this case is being advertised as on the BARE website. So if you think about ordering from BARE, keep this in mind - the case itself otherwise looks nice and sturdy, just doesn't work for me as I wanted to use it with Magsafe. I will sell it on Kijiji.

I ended up getting the Otterbox Aneu https://www.apple.com/ca/shop/produ...-series-case-with-magsafe-for-iphone-1212-pro - the case is great, drop resistant, feels great in the hand, different texture on the back and on the sides - well made, and the magnet is quite strong and holds on nicely to both the original magsafe charger as well as the ESR Halo lock on my car. Also stayed on safely despite some bumps on the road (hey, Canada) - so would definitely recommend both the Otterbox ANEU and the ESR HALO lock charger for the car.

Received (finally, 30 days of delivery...) Grip case from Dbrand (with ring, magsafe charger magnetising to the case alone too).

Yep, the strength of the magnet is weak, it can't hold weight of the 12PM, but I knew this and it's kinda good for me (I'm using only magsafe charger near my bed and found original magnets bit strong). It's align and hold charger even if you shake the phone but need less force to loose while pushing.

Overall first impressions: love materials and looks\feelings in hand, reduced to the screen level sides are also nice to see. Mode switch is a bit hard to operate.

I also bought the The Bare Case with embedded magnets and like it a lot. It’s minimalist and well crafted in a way that doesn’t feel so different than a caseless phone, but adds just enough protection and grip for my peace of mind. The magnets are strong, too - been using it with my car MagSafe mount without issue.

Only downsides are it has cutouts for the buttons, which I don’t like as much but aren’t too difficult to press, and that it costs $50. I wish it came in clear, but the blue case still looks good on my Pacific Blue 12 Pro.

I was looking for a case thinner than the Apple silicone but still has MagSafe. Is this case thinner than the Apple Silicone?

Does it matter if a case doesn’t have the MagSafe built in? This case says it works with MagSafe, but I don’t think it’s built in.

Also, does MagSafe cause any medical issues? I read it could cause issues with your heart?

if a case doesn’t have magsafe magnets and it says, “works with magsafe” that means that the magsafe charger apple sells will work and charge the phone. but it won’t work on say a magsafe car mount or the Belkin 3 in 1 charger. the hold will be weak. the medical issues refers to people with a pacemaker i believe.

I haven't used the current Apple Silicone case, but I'd think so. It's certainly thinner than the Apple Silicone case I had for my XS, and thinner than any other 12 Pro case I've tried.

I'll add that front (screen) to back thickness is a little more than other thin cases I've tried, likely due to the magnets in the back of the case. But the side to side and top to bottom measurements are much thinner. And the screen lip is much less intrusive, not protruding too far in the front, and also being slightly further from the sides of the screen than others I've tried, since it doesn't wrap around the edges of the phone as much.

This one is going back via amazon free returns! Magnet is weak.

Those who have the spigen mag armour.

How is it?

I really wish Ringke would bring out the onyx with magnets.
