Regarding the SwitchEasy MagEasy cases, here is the Amazon landing page that I found, lots of choices here.

I particularly like the MagPoka and MagStand that give legacy iPhones 6/7/SE/8/X/XS/11 the missing MagSafe magnetic attachment function. I found this MagPoka/MagStand review from MacRumors, https://www.macrumors.com/review/switcheasy-magdoka-and-magstand

the dbrand grip case is disappointing. i like the look and feel of it, but the magnet is too weak like everyone except one member said. the guy/gal @KepsInscription who said it was strong must work for them :) if i can’t use it with my belkin 3 in 1 its a no go.

the vaja cases grip case has a strong magnet. its identical to apple’s.

i ordered a moment case with the wood back. it says its made for MagSafe and works with their accessories, like a tripod connector and car mount. hopefully its a good magnet. must be right? oh and yeah i do have a problem with buying cases.

I have the Pelican Protector (MagSafe Version) coming in today, Let’s see if it’s good enough to be my daily driver.

Would this work on top of the skin??
yes but the strength of the magnet being so close to magsafe makes it fairly strong so it would depend if the skin can hold without pulling away. with there being absolutey no material between it the strength will be greater then normal with cases. the case actually pulled my belkin magsafe car mount out of my vent before it let go lol

Did you try the Crystal Palace Snap from Gear4? It looks good.
i should try it, but i had bad experiences with Gear4 before 😩

recieved the Pelican earlier today, i like it so far. only thing i’m not feeling is all the corners have this weird design where u can see the border. it seems to be on purpose.

My Dbrand Grip also has strong magnets. I would say they are identical to the Apple Silicone case.

you got very lucky then because Dbrand even sent me a replacement and it was still the same, i had to add my own MagSafe ring under the skin

seriously doubt this is legit. newbie from dbrand maybe. all the reviews and several of us have this case. really nice case but weak MagSafe implementation.

Which magsafe ring did you get? The one's that are floating around on eBay from China? Will this be comparable to any magsafe case? I picked these up to put on the back of my Catalyst Influence: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08QTX8WMT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
I got these Case Magnet Sticker MJNAUY 2Pcs... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RS6XNBK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I had tried those and while they work it doesn't have the alignment magnet which helps quite a bit

You tried the rings? Oh, wow. May need to return them. I would pick up the above link but I refuse to put the metal ring on the internal lining. That will scratch the back. My ideal sticker is a ring so I can still see Apple logo on my Influence. Unfortunately, most are black and white solid circles that cover the logo.

I wrote a review for the Moment case with MagSafe and posted pics. As it relates to this thread, the MagSafe implementation is great. The magnet strength as far as I can tell is identical to Apple's. I tested it on my Belkin 3 in 1 and a desk mount I have and also on my folio wallets. This will be my daily driver.

Here's the link to pics and my review: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/moment-iphone-case-with-magsafe-short-review-and-pics.2287145/
How are the bottom cutouts? Do you find that dust and debris can get in easily and inevitably lead to scratches since the cutouts are quite large? They look the same as the Nomad Rugged.

Dust lol scratch your phone, c'mon Why do you keep asking this?, if you work in a environment with dirt/dust or roll around in the sand with your phone of course it will get in, you wouldn't use this type of case anyway, with normal use i have never seen scratches from that, and i have had every iPhone.
You don't put a case on and leave it anyway, take it out weekly and clean it.

Get a lifeproof fre and you can sleep easy :)

I've only had it for a little more than a day. and i mostly stay indoors rn. but the bottom is kind of open. i posted a pic of it. i really like the look, seeing the blue frame on the bottom. and yeah i too take the phone out every once in a while and clean it off.
