Its incredibly fast. You must be using an old Roku 2 or original streaming stick. As far as adds, I truthfully have never noticed them.

I haven't used the newest one - I tried the ones that were out when the newest Apple TV came out.

But... How do you not notice the ads. The remote has four printed on it. The screen saver is covered with them and 1/3 of the menu is ads.
