Oh great; some media people have thought up the idea of creating a tv series about their traumatised lives.

Innovation is alive and well.

It's to be expected when the medicore actors (from Marvel movies etc.) are the most popular ones.
The good ones (movies, actors and directors) are forgotten because these mindless action hero movies are making so much money.

Peoples' expectations (and attention span) for a good, thought provoking story is declining, so we're seeing less of those movies. Luckily, tv shows are kinda filling that void, with a few really good ones that revolve around a good story.

sadly, can't even argue with that.

So from my point of view, this is what someone Tim Cook's age thinks is a cool viral way to get his streaming service trending on social media.

Netflix's shows are hyped organically through word of mouth. Someone on your Facebook watches it, tells you the show is awesome, you watch it, and you pass it on to your coworkers, etc....

Haunting of Hill House is a good example. Drops with little to no fanfare, my brother saw it and told me I had to watch it, watched the first episode, got hooked, etc...

Like all of the manufactured challenges / trends set up by Netflix to get their shows trending like the Bird Box Challenge?

Here is the thing, why are the actors and directors just explaining to us the premise of the show, but not actually showing us even a minute of a trailer?

You’ve hit the nail on the head. All of this seems to be trying too hard. There’s nothing organic about this.

It's way too forced.

Stranger Things had Winona Ryder and Matthew Modine in it. It dropped all at once one day with a few Facebook posts talking about it, and I knew it was going to be an 80s It throwback type show which is what peaked my interest.

Winona Ryder and Matthew Modine were just there tho. The show would have been good without them.

I really hope apple marketing and PR are watching these forums, because they are so off with their audience it's unreal. Its a car crash, it's not funny, it's not entertainment. We don't need live intros for each show. We don't need it force-feeding like this. It's not anymore interesting because it's being presented in this manner.

I just wish Miss Piggy enters the scene and beats the crap out of Tim Cook.

I just want to turn off the + sign.

Can I? Can I please?

These all seem very GIF or meme worthy.

Apple enthusiasts love to complain, but they don't "hate it" enough to stop watching.
"This is terrible!" "I'm done with Apple products" "I wish this was over!"
Yet all of these people continue to sit and watch a TWO HOUR event lol

And? You think it's great and so riveting that you can't walk away and wonder when you can hand Apple more money for this crap?

I'm watching just to see HOW BAD IT CAN GET!!!!!
