The only thing i'll be getting this year is a new iPhone 5 case from Apple. :D

"Ugh, the colors are gross"

"Ugh, the screen is too small"

"Ugh, what good is 64 bit"

"Ugh, fingerprint sensor is stupid"

"Ugh, no 128GB? why bother"

"Ugh, no drop in price?

"Ugh, no extra megapixels?"

...

Good God, your families must HATE to be around you at Christmas.

You're going to have to tell me how the emperor's new clothes are looking, because I'm clearly unfit to see them.

Some dumbass just called in to cnet and said there will be a major problem of thiefs cutting off people fingers to steal iPhones.

You must have missed the genius poster in this thread that said the same thing.

Kinda Shocked

The plastic phones look really ugly color wise. White looks fine of course. And $29 silicone cases? Would you want ppl to recognize you for a fool who paid that much for a silicone case? Great that the 5c has the 5 guts.

Excited by the A7. Should be unb'feakinleavible in the iPad. Now can we finally have Adobe Flash? Never mind.

What happened to the iPod updates? Are we getting nothing new this year?

Plus why no 128GB iPhone 5S?

Jeez this media event was *****! :(

Any word on whether it's Friday or the 18th?

He said 18th. I have no idea where everyone gets this Friday thing from. He never said Friday.

Sep 13: 5C preorder.

Sep 18: iOS 7 released

Sep 20: 5C and 5s on sale.

(that lower case s is still bugging me!)

Waiting for iPhone 6. 5" screen + NFC with fingerprint capabilities. I'll kill time with Nexus 5.

So no software updates today? During Steve Jobs time after major media events there were a lot of software updates. Also when will iWork be free on iOS 7.

Its free with a new hardware purchase. So, I'm assuming, you'll get it free the next time you buy a new iOS device after 7 comes out.

I'm impressed with the new specs, but kind of disappointed that so many rumors were true. It took a little of the oomf out of things.

touchid is old....

Yes, fingerprint technology has been around for a long time, but it has not been popularized in mainstream tech.

Come back to this post a year from now. All of Google's flagship phones will have fingerprint sensors and will be a key feature of their Wallet product.

smart business and marketing move ... 599€ for the one year old iPhone 5 in a cheaper to produce plastic case?

To all those claiming of leaving and going to Galaxy phones, have fun with your large plastic phones with gimmicky interfaces and screen that struggles in sunlight.
There are better android phones to be had besides the Galaxy line..in my opinion at least

looks like you can add AC+ during checkout now... don't recall being able to do that when I bought my wifes iPad 3 (directly after media event)

Because I'll be using the fingerprint sensor daily.

NFC, hardly.

Why? Typing 4 numbers too much of a struggle? Or are you so concerned about the state-secrets on your phone that you need "Get Smart" level security on everything you own.
