Despite Apple's assurances, I wonder how long it will take the NSA to figure out how to remotely hack a 5S and get all of our finger prints.

Seriously, phone market is maturing. The innovations are always going to be smaller year on year. What do you want, a pocket teleporter or something?

I think some of you need to look back 10 years and try to realise just how wonderful smartphones are. Just think about what you carry in your pocket and all the things it can do.

So it's $549 off contract for the iPhone 5C - I'm really not sure why Apple has made this phone. If it was Nexus 4 priced at $349 I could see the appeal, but why would people buy an inferior phone to the 5S just to save $100? It's not worth it.
 
C'mon Apple! What happened to releasing something now for the faithful? We want instant gratification for our Apple fix. Give. Us. Something. Now !

Sure. Maybe some day people will realize that it isn't really about keeping score, but rather competition forcing all parties involved to be better and drive innovation/technology forward as a whole.

Been on business-class laptops since '95. Not sure how "mainstream" you want...unless you're talking consumer-grade, which shouldn't need biometric security anyways.
 
I just wish the 5c had the 5s internals, the 5s looks boring compared to the colourful 5c

the GS3 and 4 are both the consumer reports top phone pics for their respective years. i'll take their opinion over yours any day.
 
For all the people who think this is a lame update, don't update, don't buy a new phone. Best way to tell Apple you're unhappy with them is with your wallet. :)

The 16 GB Nexus 4 is now down to $249 no contract and unlocked. Yes, really.

Certainly not a struggle, but it's that kind of attitude that always hinders progress in technology.

Fingerprint sensor? Why not? I'll take it, thank you.
