i was wondering if the the new MBA has a full glass screen? it almost seems like its like the regular macbook and has the aluminum to the edges and not the glass? can someone chime in? thanks!

I'm seeing the same thing, I think it will be MATTE, FINALLY!!!

I love this. All the excitement from lat week turns into bitching like predicted. You guys don't disappoint, almost like the changing of the seasons in that you know it's coming.

Why do I feel disappointed after watching that?

Same answer to both posts:

Because Mr. Jobs never ceases to disappoint with his smoke and mirrors trying to cover up the dumping of his highend pro content creator base in a dace to the bottom for the lowest common denominator and the quick buck.

I was interested in the Air, until I saw how underwhelming the specs are and how over priced it is.

Just arrived in the forums after watching the keynote live on my 27" iMac - - way better than the old days of snide second hand commentary from bloggers at the event - - and I had a scan of this thread, to find... snide commentary from the forum trolls. They're out in full force today!

No surprises except for the Mac App store. That will be interesting. I don't know how that buisiness model will play out for Mac software.

I love this. All the excitement from last week turns into bitching like predicted. You guys don't disappoint, almost like the changing of the seasons in that you know it's coming.

But that's because this was supposed to be half the price, twice as thin, half as light, and include a touch screen, and a hidden Blu-Ray drive that materializes out of thin air! The rumors said so, so it must have been true! They didn't even get ONE of those things right. They only canceled it at the last minute just to spite the rumor forums. Apple disappoints yet again!

The article is too long and so is the thread.

So... is there anything interesting happening in Cupertino?

You would have thought with Microsoft announcing almost a year and half ago a huge update to their productivity suite (Office) that Apple would have spent that time to bring a major update to their own productivity suite (iWork 11). But by the looks of everything today, that is not going to happen. That is a real shame. I have always thought that Pages was due for a robust update to it's page layout features, things like advanced typography features, work group formatting, improved PDF live review, etc. These are features that I thought Apple could have added to Pages to really bring it more so into the realm of a semi-professional page layout tool, something in between what Pages is now and what InDesign is currently.

I really like the new iLife suite, but I am more than bit surprised that Apple did not take this moment to seize a real opportunity to overshadow the forthcoming Microsoft Office Suite. This could have been a huge bonus for Apple. Oh well.

...because everyone who doesnt agree with you is a troll.

You do realize that companies like mine have invested 10's of Millions of dollars in Mac infrastructure and now seeing this makes us go... OH *****.

Us AND our dollars need to walk, and now is finally the time. And leave Job with his pennnies and MacWhammo.

"Back to the Mac". Might as well have called it "The Final Screwing Of All the Pro Whiners."
