GarageBand, Now all they need is a proper iphoto and i'm there.

kinda dissapointed no thunderbolt but it makes sense to wait till next year when it takes off.

I was really hoping the second app would be some sort of Apple to Apple communication app.

They barely made it lighter, instead their obsession with thiness takes the lead.

Pretty disappointing, I expected at the very least an improved screen (not retina but slightly higher resolution + anti reflective) and a lighter package.

I don't know why some of you were expecting a drastic iOS UI redesign today. Such a thing would clearly be reserved for iOS 5, which will surely be unveiled at WWDC.

The new dual core CPU and improved graphics will be welcoming for app developers to develop some impressive apps but in terms of the general experience of multitasking with iOS it still looks the same.

I think its safe to assume most people probably use the iPad for casual internet browsing, checking email, updating facebook, playing a few games and listening to music. I don't think the hardware upgrade although impressive will change the general use of the iPad much.

iMovie is cool to have but I would imagine that a 128gb iPad might be more ideal for that. I guess it depends on the size of the movie clips...

I'm going to hold onto my iPad 1st gen and see what Apple comes out with when they release the iPad 3 or iOS 5 :D

How exactly do you come to this conclusion. This beats every other tablet in about every way. So there is not one good tablet? I'm also hoping for a new OS announcement, but the design itself leaves nothing to be desired other than a higher screen resolution IMO.

Erm because I know what I dont and do need? The specs arnt that big a deal for me personally to justify upgrading when I already own the iPad. For people buying their first iPad this is a great machine... and since its the same price then bargain!

But for me personally... since I already own an iPad the iPad 2 doesnt really do anything for me in terms of making me want it or to upgrade to it.

However like i said im hoping that game devs will keep on pushing boundries especially with the new hardware (so that when iPad 3 comes around and I may upgrade they will be some cool stuff available)

Screen res doesnt bother me.. I dont need a retina display.

2x the CPU performance and 9x the graphics while maintaining battery life.

Not sure whether I will get the iPad 2 because no retina, but I will have to get an iPhone 5 and ATV3. Seriously, at what point do these customized ARM chips take over the world?

I wonder how the overall processing power (CPU+GPU) will compare to the Xbox 360. Any ideas? At some point, the ATV is simply going to take over gaming...

x-box 360 and PS3 still kick ARM a$$. and they are like 4-5 years old

ARM is Ok for mobile but it's way behind Intel and others in raw power

i'm hoping for the "one more thing" to be "oh, yeah, we got a retina display on this thing..thank you and good night!"

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

So personal hotspot is only available for iPhone 4 owners? Wow, so the original iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS is out of luck?

That's normally what "only available for" implies.

They reduced the weight by about 15% while maintaining a 10 hour battery life. That beat any other tablet with announced specs.
