This is the beginning of the end.

Holy crap, I can't believe what I just saw.

Apple has SERIOUSLY gone off the deep end, and Steve's departure is being FELT now.

Better snap up the refurbs and remaining stock of current hardware folks.

Apple killed the Mac today.

Apple computers today are one of the most expensive hobbies you can have. Touch bar for editing? Lol, you have to look at the touch bar to the screen, touchbar, screen, touch bar, screen.... I'm already exhausted.

I think PLENTY OF PEOPLE have love the fact every time they trip over the power cable their Mac doesn't go flying off the table or whatever.... you know, the entire point of it. Something that was ACTUALLY INNOVATIVE by Apple..

All they've done here is copy Razer and boosted prices.

Yup, it's so innovative it barely even charges a laptop. You have to sit there and fiddle with it until you get the angle exactly right for it to start getting power.

Add the MagSafe to MagSafe 2 adapter and it gets even worse. Don't get me wrong, the MagSafe is a great concept. But it's terribly implemented. Good riddance.

The arrogant Apple has totally lost touch with the customers. They still think they're the über cool brand of innovation. Timmy lives in a different world. Time to abandon boring expensive uncool Apple for good. I'm not only sad but über ANGRY and want to smash an Apple. FOUR YEARS AND THAN THIS?!
Tim likes pro users like he likes women.

Its gimmicky to tackle the function keys, even though touchbar looks kinda cool

I don't think anybody was ever knocking them or had an issue with them?

"They dont know what they want, we have to tell them" mantra doesn't really work in this awkward Tim Cook era,

APPLE HAS SPOKEN. We are a social phone and tablet company.

We get updated ATV software and new laptops with a couple gimmicky features and Apple's bigotry towards ram continues with only 16GB.

What we didn't get.

1. No 4k support for ATV.
2. No MacPro update.
3. No iMac update. (although after MSs Surface launch, who cares)
4. No Mini update.
5. No Cinema Display (great, showing off the competitor's display again)
6. NO NEW INNOVATIVE PRODUCT NOT THOUGHT OF OR SEEN BEFORE.

Lol. I recently upgraded my 2011 MBP to 16GB (it does not officially support more than 8GB, but in reality upto 16GB works just fine) for < $100.

I guess that's probably gonna remain my last Mac.

That price and no decent GPU in the 15"? I don't mind paying for quality but I'd have expected something better there. Other than that a decent refresh IMO.

Apparently, journalists getting hands-on time with the new Touch Bar are extremely impressed... some are saying it could be "the Swiss Army Knife" of laptop inputs. I'm intrigued.

I just hate that MagSafe was dropped, that I'll have to drop another $25 a pop for USB-C to Lightning cables (if I want to charge my iOS devices with this thing), and that %#!?@$ shallow MacBook keyboard...

Can't even imagine what those prices will look like in UK with English Pound diving like these days. I'm sorry for my fellow british forumers (except for the usual 2/3 pundits very happy to transfer money from their pocket to Apples', of course)

Hint....they're so expensive I spat my tea all over the Queen when I saw the numbers.

Cook gone? What I have been saying for a very long time. I warned people about him.

Forstall? He is totally gone and won't return. He will never, ever, ever return as long as Phony Ive is there. And Cue. And Schiller. And Williams.

This keynote was garbage and an insult to the desktop products they neglected. They thought it would be "cute" and "clever" to copy Nintendo's strategy of leaking a product before the keynote. Big mistake. What Nintendo did with the Switch reveal was brilliant. They didn't have to say anything but show it and this alone makes us want to find out more about it once they're ready to talk more.

I actually jumped over to Android when iOS 7 beta was in place. I could not believe they fired scott forstall - that man is a genius and if it weren't for him there would be no apple juggernaut in 2016. This man was the pioneer of iOS and to get rid of him was just a terrible decision. Sure the man had his issues but then which genius didn't? It's sad because it's so clear apple is for the $$$$ and that's their bottom line. I do not agree with their touchbar and their "upgraded" hardware which is just incremental. Same display, can't edit 4K streams, getting rid of all the normal ports, and worse the prices are insane.

For those that have not woken up - please wake the F up by now. My 2015 MBP is the very last computer from apple.

I still have my 2012 MacBook Pro with two drives inside (1tb + 120gb SSD)... I was planning on selling it but now I'm having second thoughts.

If you are not dextrous enough to put a magsafe connector in less than 15seconds, I'd stay away from the touchbar. It looks quite finickity

lol. You don't get it or clearly have never tried to hook up an MBP to the MagSafe on the old Thunderbolt Display.

This is going from bad to worse... Still dont get the logic of replacing all ports with USB-C port. Pay all that money and spend more for adapters and be bothered to carry the adapter with you wherever you go? Not to mention, the Macbook Pro without the Touch Bar is expensive by $200 over last gen for no reason at all....
