Granted the new base 15 has discrete graphics and the touch bar, but it is still higher priced than the outgoing model.

Microsoft just murdered apple. I just preordered 3 studio setups.
I'll still use the two 2015 MBP's we have here to export and compile our games for iOS but they better last forever as I don't intend to give apple any more $$ for their emoji toolbar equipped toys.

Sorry, Apple you may have been right about Touch Screens not being good interface for full OS when Microsoft first came out with it years ago. But MS has been making good head way in that field and leaving you behind. I guess I'll have to get another year out of my early 2011 Macbook Pro 15". Maybe up grade my Surface Pro 4 to a Surface Book.

FYI still hate Windows OS.

The touch strip is cool and all...but if touch is really such a huge step forward, why not just skip that and make it a full touch screen?

Apple is very stubborn they have stood by touch screens being counter productive and always will. This is as close as they can get to being innovative without admitting they are wrong.

I was wanting to get an updated Mac Mini for a Plex server, can someone recommend something really basic and small? Doesn't need to be anything too fancy like the RAID stuff with a NAS. I'm just sick of opening my laptop everytime I want to stream stuff from my MacBook Pro to Plex on the Apple TV.

Nothing wrong with Windows 10, it's a great OS. Stop living in the past on the MS OS issue. ME/Vista is dead, windows 10, by far, the best MS OS ever and is very stable. I develop Windows and Web applications on it and not one hiccup.
