If the Mac Pro was actually selling they would update it.
If they gave profesionals the option of different gfx cards it would sell.
If the Mac Pro was actually selling they would update it.
Base 15" was $1999 before this update, so no.
Granted the new base 15 has discrete graphics and the touch bar, but it is still higher priced than the outgoing model.

So sick of seeing these "products looks cool but runs Windows, Android, etc" posts. It obviously does. Were you expecting Microsoft to come up with products that run macOS or something?I hate to admit, the Microsoft products announced yesterday are slick...but they run Windows.
I can see the "Hello Again" wasn't necessary. What a way to squander that tag line.
Microsoft wins this week.
Apple is very stubborn they have stood by touch screens being counter productive and always will. This is as close as they can get to being innovative without admitting they are wrong. The touch strip is cool and all...but if touch is really such a huge step forward, why not just skip that and make it a full touch screen?

£2,349.00 for the base 15-inch? Yikes...
I was wanting to get an updated Mac Mini for a Plex server, can someone recommend something really basic and small? Doesn't need to be anything too fancy like the RAID stuff with a NAS. I'm just sick of opening my laptop everytime I want to stream stuff from my MacBook Pro to Plex on the Apple TV.

Yes, still with the Radeon! WTF!Same here. Oh well, looks like Apple really doesn't care about it's consumers.
