No Imacs? No Mac Pro??????? Seriously????
It's over. They don't care. Apple in 2016... AppleTV is important. Computers are a "hobby". How the mighty have fallen.

Just thinking about what the Apple Spaceship will look like after it's been converted to an apartment building. Cook, Ive, and Ferengi have absolutely driven Apple into the ground.

They are simply showing us pro users that they expect us to use laptops as our core work machines. Granted they are nice and all, but their not a good choice for everyday workhorse machines. If they truly cared about the desktop macs they would have made a touch bar enabled keyboard to bring that experience to the desktop users, or they would have at least spec bumped the mac pro which they haven't touched in 3 YEARS! If all of this hasn't convinced us pro level users that the desktop macs are simply apple's bastard child, then the fact that they touted the new LG branded display as desktop/laptop combination surely will.
pro does not equal your pro. there are many pros out there doing different pro things.

Okay this was awful. Thankfully I can still sell my macbook and go back to windows. I have a windows pc so it shouldn't be too hard.

Apple is gone now. Good luck with ios

What, really, were you expecting? We have gotten to the point where computers, be they phone-based, tablet-based, laptop-based or desk-top based are about as good as you're going to get, without a huge shift to some yet to be developed new technology in computing power, battery, screen, storage, case materials, etc.

Personally, I am not impressed by the touch bar, and instead think Apple should have just turned the trackpad into a screen trackpad, but the thinner, lighter and less volume rMBP, better screen and new updated ports is certainly enticing, in my opinion.

I do understand why Apple is not going to turn the screen into a touch sensitive thing, because it's just a really bad ergonomic design for moving hands from the horizontal plane of the keyboard to the vertical plane of the screen (even if Microsoft keeps pushing this idiotic technology). But the thin touch bar doesn't seem quite right to me, although my opinion may well change once I've tried it live.

For those who missed the keynote, here's a recap.

Cook: "Hi. Mandatory 10 minute rant about iPhone sales figures. We've got something amazingly incredible to show you and we think you're gonna love it in an amazingly incredible way. First up, Apple TV. Here to tell you more about it is Jen Folse."
Folse: "Hi so we took all your TV stuff on your Apple TV and put it in an app and called it TV so now you can watch all your TV in TV on your Apple TV on your TV and your iPad."
Cook: "Thanks. Now, the Mac. Here to tell you more about it are three warts with Phil Schiller attached."
Warts: "Touchbar touchbar touchbar touchbar touchbar. Here to tell you more about the touchbar is the only funny and non-annoying one of us, Craig Federighi."
Federighi: "Hi! Warm-up joke, touchbar, touchbar, joke, touchbar, touchbar, touchbar, touchbar. Can we get Warts on stage and borrow the finger of that guy who's attached to them?"
*Warts fingers stuff*
Federighi: "Nice fingering."
Cook: "Touchbar, touchbar, touchbar, amazingly great incredible thanks bye".

the keynote showed 2.6Ghz standard and 4GB Video standard, but that's not true. it's 2GB video standard. And 2TB is +$1200

What a Joke. Nice MacBooks but what are we suppose to get to replace our broken and aging desktops. No MacPros means we are out. We will be starting to switch our software to PC effective immediately. This means no more desktops, no more laptops, no more iPads, no more iPhones. Best of luck Tim. Liked you at first but you killed the Apple I've loved for over 32 years now.
