2799€ instead of 2299€ for the 15" entry level. 500€ increase (550$) in one generation.

I paid my 15" entry level 1899 in 2014. That's a 8-900€ increase in 2 years. Simply insane.

They probably found a good solution: since they cannot make good and innovative computers, they just decided to get all the possible profits out of the users that buy them.
The arrogant Apple has totally lost touch with the customers. They still think they're the über cool brand of innovation. Timmy lives in a different world. Time to abandon boring expensive uncool Apple for good. I'm not only sad but über ANGRY and want to smash an Apple. FOUR YEARS AND THAN THIS?!

I'm shocked they didn't introduce something with a lower price to replace the MacBook Air -- gone are the entry-level MacBooks! Surprising move, in my eyes. As for me, I bought the 13" MacBook a couple months ago and love it. People will learn to love the keyboard, as I have, and I have one adapter whenever I need to plug in an external hard drive with USB. It's the new entry-level MacBook, but with a non-entry-level price tag.

So, I really need a new laptop. For those who have switched over to Microsoft, or have seen the Microsoft event yesterday, what would you recommend as MBP 15" replacement? Need it for intense design, and some after effects and video work.

If you want crazy battery life get a Surface Book, if you want better portability with meh battery life get a high end Surface Pro 4. I have a SP4 and love it, but the battery life is pretty mediocre (around 6hrs with normal usage, 4 if I'm pushing it).

This even can be summed up in one word..SHAMEFUL. Tim Cook needs to be gone yesterday. Steve should have named Forstall as CEO, at least he could look up "innovation" in the dictionary.

Cook gone? What I have been saying for a very long time. I warned people about him.

Forstall? He is totally gone and won't return. He will never, ever, ever return as long as Phony Ive is there. And Cue. And Schiller. And Williams.

This keynote was garbage and an insult to the desktop products they neglected. They thought it would be "cute" and "clever" to copy Nintendo's strategy of leaking a product before the keynote. Big mistake. What Nintendo did with the Switch reveal was brilliant. They didn't have to say anything but show it and this alone makes us want to find out more about it once they're ready to talk more.

now to figure out how to hackintosh a 17" Razer Blade Pro cuz the features on this 15" MBP... are... ughhhh and I can't let go of Mac OS
OMG that razor blade pro.... if you thought of a dream laptop in your head that's what razer has done. Yea it's expensive but it's literally the best of anything you can possibly buy right now
