As for the 1%er comment... We all get sick. You could make a similar comment about MRI scanners. But MRI scanners will never become a commodity product. These watches will. And if a commodity product has the capability to so hugely improve healthcare, surely that's only a good thing?

No, a hospital doesn't need an MRI scanner for every patient that comes through the door.

TCO costs make this a non-starter. Count up how many would be needed in a hospital
 
I always though Apple should partner with fashion brands on watch bands and match them with custom watch faces. And now they're doing it. Cool.
 
Shoulda had Erlich or Richard Hendricks bring out the Pro with Pied Piper's compressions schemes...BAM!
