Somewhere out there an oblivious buyer is cussing Apple out because the Online store is down.
It's better than them buying an iPad 2 for $499 and then seeing the iPad 3 a couple hours later for the same price. HAHA

Tobad, was hoping not to read this evening. Guess this stream is not true then: http://www.ustream.tv/ltktv
I saw someone in the store yesterday, buying an iPad2. He must be pissed when he sees an iPad3 the next day in the same basket.
Maybe. At the very least it'll have the info on the new item(s) up and the release date and the preorder date.
If they're using 5.1 on the hardware being announced today, we'll see it anywhere from today to the day before the new hardware is available.
Live streams take a lot of bandwidth. Apple has done live streams from time to time, although they've been in a great decline over the years.

I've always liked the Engadget one. Lots of pictures, lots of updates.
For all the billions they have, I don't understand why they cannot provide live video coverage of their event when they know a lot of us are going to watch it?![]()
Brilliant! The Pirate Bay Apple Store is now offline.
With all due respect, there is zero excuse to not do a live stream. EA, Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, they all stream their press conferences from E3 to millions of people via dozens of websites and none of them are sitting on the half a trillion dollars that Apple is sitting on.
They could easily do it, the *only* logical explanation is that they don't want anyone to see them screw up.
Live streaming it would make the anticipation and excitement for their products palpable. They already have people lining up a day(s) in advance, they'd sell even more even faster if they live streamed it.
Absolutely no excuse not to live stream it.

In a bit of curious timing, Liquidmetal Technologies late yesterday announced that it had begun "shipping commercial parts to several of its customers world-wide". While the customers are unnamed, shipments are said to have begun in December and will be continuing in the months ahead. Apple acquired the rights to Liquidmetal's technology related to amorphous metal alloys for use in all consumer electronics applications back in 2010, while Liquidmetal has retained its rights in all other fields of use.
this is the one, Terminator ***** is going to happen on Ipad![]()
It's not because you're rich that you have to waste money.
They probably didn't spend that money because they evaluated that they didn't need to, as people watching the event video live wouldn't be more likely to to buy the iPad than if they watched the video a couple hours after.
I dont care for Twitter, but would like to follow MacRumors live coverage. How?
Brilliant!
If you total all the viewers for EA, Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft, you might get the number of Apple viewers in Podunk Oklahoma (Just South of Tulsa). It is easy for a small company with no following to stream a presentation. Apple has a few more visitors.
