Don't be mad all you Ipad3 owners you now have a device that will increase in price in about 50 years when they are considered the rarest Ipad ever sold. :D

Hello Ipad 4th gen

I'm not upset. :D The mini doesn't offer the retina, but might get it for my daughter.
The ipad 4 is just a spec change, but yet still the same. :D
Love the ipad 3 and will continue to use it until there's big change or maybe new design? :)

Grow up. Linking "female" and "tech dumb" became obsolete as soon as I started having to teach my nephews how to reset the PRAM on their powerbooks, and that was at least ten or fifteen years ago. :p

And most of my female friends still don't know how to even reset their phones. Stereotypes exists for a reason. We all know the vast majority of females always buy products based primarily how it looks. Plain and simple.

And you know what this new imac will sell well with that crowd. I am actually quite impressed. Not impressed to buy any AAPL stock but this should shake up imac sales a bit.

Hello Ipad 4th gen

I'm not mad - I buy a product because I want it - not for hype or as a status symbol.

My iPad 3 is great, and will be for another couple of revisions.

Anyone noticed how they only seem to be showing the white one in the video? Seems like they already know we'll have 'bitch-gate' with people moaning about the black one scratching.

I have had no problem with my black iP5 scratching and the black mini looks so freakin slick....

Same here, and I'm not liking the absence of an optical drive, nor not knowing if we can upgrade the RAM at will, or if you have to do it at checkout only.

At least the new iMacs are out -now the choice between old refurb and new thinness...

Apple has been moving forward to make all of it's devices non-user-upgradable. Biggest con for Apple products, but it shouldn't be a surprise. The last iMac was not a treat to swap parts either.

I bought the 3rd gen iPad back in March when it first came out and this doesn't upset me at all. It's been almost 7 1/2 months since then and I'm glad to see Apple moving forward and not holding to a strict once a year update cycle.

YOU dish out 1000 bucks Canadian on a piece of hardware and have it obsoleted in under a year and see how that feels. No, it didn't get slower, but this is why I left Android. I thought at least I could get a year out of new stuff.

Which is exactly what ****ple did to me. I purchased my new iPad 1 in 2010, and they stopped supporting me after iOS5.... At least with my old Android LG from a few years ago I can still download the newest version of Android compiled by a third party..

It ok, really, people should buy a whole new machine if they ever want to upgrade the RAM. That is really environmentally friendly you know, just like they always like to tout...

Ahh, good old Jony Ive. That horrendously slow-speaking voice is almost self-parody.

Find it funny that I cant use a Samsung Galaxy S3 with one hand (compared to the iPhone 5) - but I suddenly can now use an iPad mini with one hand!

Got to love Apple marketing spin!

You can HOLD the iPad mini with 1 hand, not USE it. Entirely different thing.

I guess that when they spend sooo much time trashing the competition during the iPad mini presentation, comparing android tablets and explaining to us why other tablets are rubbish, its either because they know their market advantage will fade more sooner than later, or they will try to charge an outrageous price for theirs....

We'll see... and the Windows tables is still pending. I'm not a Windows fan, but almost 90% of the world's users are already familiar with Windows, and that's a huge advantage.

Good. The $329 version is 16GB. I was worried it would be 8GB (probably irrationally, since there's no way an 8GB tablet would be practical).

I'd say a lot of people would say that about Apple fans in general...:)
