Shame that they haven't continued the design of the iPod Nano 6G. That model was very handy to turn into a wrist watch and use when cycling or walking. Oh well.

What I don't understand is when I see people using an iPhone and then they pull out an iPod! I sometimes want to go over an ask why! (Unless the iPhone is a works phone, but sometimes i doubt that).

It just doesn't make any sense.

Well, for me the answer is two-fold. I use the iPod for all media, most notably movies. Using it as the primary device to consume media leaves the iPhone open as a more communications device--my phone, calendar, reminders, internet, etc. Keeps the storage on it pretty low, too.

The second reason is that by splitting it thus, the battery doesn't get dinged on the phone so it's always ready for use If I want to watch a movie, that's cool, I can do it and not worry that I won't be able to make a call. That's how my use has shaken down, anyway.

Only specs that really matter for the iPhone (6th generation) are these:
112 grams, 20% lighter than iPhone 4S
7.6mm thick, 18% thinner than iPhone 4S
LTE
Battery life exceeds iPhone 4S
Less glare in sunlight

The other phone companies are soiling themselves.

I'm a little sad that the nano is not clippable anymore, but I'll likely get one anyway. My current one is 8G and I always have to pick and choose what I'm going to put on it.

I have both because I don't like using my phone for music on long drives, plane rides, etc. Larger to carry, and I don't want to drain my phone battery needlessly.

What's disappointing about today's iPhone?

Where to start?

  1. It costs money.
  2. Apple is not giving one away to every person on earth with lifetime cell service.
  3. It doesn't resurrect Steve Jobs.
  4. It doesn't make intellectually-challenged people more intelligent.
  5. It doesn't move people out of parents' basements.
  6. Pres. Obama still doesn't know how to use one.
  7. If a tank drives over it, it breaks.
  8. It doesn't cure cancer.

Clearly, it is a failure on many levels.

I think Apple is losing its keynote magic. I don't need to know that every new product is the the thinnest, fastest etc they have ever made. Where is the "one more thing"? Something what tells you = wow, Apple still has a vision. Their products are beautifully made, but it would be nice to see a surprise, that makes the difference!

Still no new Classic. What a waste.

Although, I am going to get new 5's for my wife and me.

This whole presentation had a few spots where Apple felt like spoofs of themselves. I didn't like that feeling.

Now I'm left to ponder... iPhone 5 or the SIII.

You're right it's not, but then you have to carry 2 phone like objects with you instead of 1. Or do iPod touch owners not have phones, or smart phones at least?

Mate, I know people who carry an iPhone and a higher capacity iPod touch because "it holds all their music".

Yes, baffling I know.

iPHONE 4S GETS PANORAMA PHOTOS!

I really hope this isn't a typo by Apple!

This is the weakest iPhone announcement ever. I waited to see if Apple would do something great before buying an S3 to replace my iPhone, but they didn't.

Hello, Galaxy S3

:D

Have fun with that POS. returned mine in 20 hours. Light leakage, AWFUL battery life not to mention You pay the same for all apps they just aren't regulated so apps like espn don't fit the screen and have messed up font sizes. But have fun!

Did I mention it takes 6 hours to charge ;)
