Like Babe Ruth to the sick child I called it all.

Kudos Apple, you once again prove why you are the leader of technology... Another massive hit on your hands with the iPhone 4S.

Why the hell are people mad about the missing iPhone 5? This is the same pattern that followed with the 3G and 3GS, and will continue with the 5 and the 5S.

People are silly nowadays.

Apple has now become the king of copycats.

Now become?

Nope. they have been that way for a while. They either copy base ideas that can't be protected or license the idea. On a few occasions when they feel that the protected idea shouldn't be because it is too basic they copy it and get the protection knocked out in court when they are sued. Just like all businesses do.

And Apple doesn't hide that it copies. Their 'defense' is that they don't just copy the idea, they do it better. Sometimes that's true, sometimes not so much. But that is their game plan and has been for a while

Actually, while the other stuff is underwhelming, the 64GB option is pretty sweet. I might upgrade just for that. Disappointed though in no 128GB iPod Touch option.

A fancy voice control is just that.. a voice control. That function never been very popular on phones. It's just another fancy gimmick.
I'm sure people said the same thing about auto correct type features until the iPhone came along, so we'll see.

Is that the end of the conference or is there a part 2?

(looking at the Engadget Live Blog:

"2:39PM We're off to get hands-on, and we'll be broadcasting again soon. Thanks for joining the fun!

2:38PM Sorry folks, no iPhone 5... yet....")

Before 2007, Web browsing was not very popular on phones either...

This is a big upgrade, no matter how you look at it. So many people will pretend it isn't because they have some bizzarre agenda they are trying to push. It is not designed to make people upgrade from iPhone 4.

I'm not gonna lie, that was the most boring presentation Apple's ever done, worse than the iPod HiFi... You can't wait 18 months and release an almost identical phone hoping people won't notice and rush out to buy them.

Disappointing the 4 isn't being released with 16GB, 8GB is really too small.

Overly unsatisfied, I waited out hoping the next iPhone would really persuade me, looks like I'm sticking with my 3GS for the time being then...

this was very sad..... not even a "one more thing"..lol wow

well i will keep my iphone 4 for 1 more year:(

I am worse off. I am still stuck with an iphone 3g (its not cracked) but should I wait until the next model or just get the 4s UGH.

You should probably wait for the iPhone 32S, I hear the A32 chip will have the power to command animals.

Absolutely disappointed in :apple: with this. Hey, you never know though I guess. Perhaps iPhone 5 will go on sale in June...?

For people saying that the assistant is great etc, don't forget they mentioned it only being available in english, german and french.

That was probably the biggest let down of all time. They didn't announce anything we didn't already know or figured out 5 months ago. No innovation what so ever.

Same as iPad. :)

Ooops wait a minute.

ordering one iPhone 4s ASAP.
Looks a solid phone and sorry I like the current design and seriously wasn't expecting Apple to change the look of it after only one generation.
The iPhone 6 will be different.

Why are some so ready to jump to android? iPhone 4S now has the same download speed of the "4G" phones. 1080p recording. Assistant is amazing. The only thing I can see is going to an Android device for a larger screen with an inferior OS (icecream sandwich MAY come close but i doubt it.)

Wow, only an white iPod Touch, an iPhone with some internal changes and some price drops - are you serious Apple?-.-

I'm actually amazed because this update sucks so much - I mean it kinda takes guts to be a new CEO and present your first major company keynote with something as lame.

I expect the stock is going to drop majorly.

So, why didn't Apple avoid all this hubbub, and the inevitable disappointment by just calling this thing the iPhone 5? Why even bother with the name 4S?

I'd guess the next phone will be called the 4G (assuming is has LTE) and wanted to avoid any confusion by going from '5' to '4' again.

The whole "gorgeous" "amazing" innovative" schpiel only works when you have something utterly new to bring to the market. Trying to use hyperboles like that on a speed bumped device just made them come across as delusional to me.

Thoroughly disappointed given the momentum Android has at the moment.
