Were those the new iPads on that picture with people drawing the sketches in Milan?

MacMini!

All that matters is they actually did something. Price is secondary.

No, price is still important. I want to see the full spec sheet breakdown and repairability. There's a lot of things that could make that price be on the "too much" side. However depending on the CPU there may not much that could have been done about the price.

Only 60% better graphics in 4 years? What kind of anaemic Mores law nonsense is that? Oh, and of course the base model now miraculously costs $300 more than the previous $499 base model. These deltas keep getting WORSE every update.

The old Mac Mini was a MBA in disguise. This one has proper desktop processors. It's a different machine.

Mac mini built for pros but with 128gb ssd and i3? Please. And only integrated graphics? They should check out what Zotec have in the mini PC space. But the ports are generous this time round.
I would have thought the MacBook Air features an esim, but I guess everyone has an iPhone for tethering.
So good to see the updates, but like the parts they’re made of, the ideas seem 100% recycled material.

Depends what you use i for. My previous gen mac mini has been running for a few years now with a 128GB SSD.

It's just used as a server running a few services and plex, it's always on and headless.

Yeah that's what I wanted to do with this one. Run a few headless services + plex. Not sure if I can rationalize the $800.
