Well, I like the iPhone6+ a LOT..

The watch is cute but I'm not sure I'd want it. If it could replace the phone then maybe, but as yet another gadget to add to the amount of stuff i carry its not that tempting.

.. Does stuff your phone does but less of it and smaller.

A bit like the the iPad does stuff your phone does but less of it and bigger..

Who knows!

Everyone complaining about the price of the watch... you are hilarious.

1. It's not a watch. It's a computer. A highly-engineered one at that.
2. $350 is VERY affordable in the overall watch market. Hell, I have several watches in the $500-$3000 range.
3. People pay that much for iPads every day.
4. iPhones off contract are around $700.

Just because you've never paid more than $20 for a Timex in your life... that doesn't translate to this.

You make some good points. The price will come down in the next couple of years anyhow.

Anyone hear the word "waterproof" during the Watch demo? Didn't see any swimmers in the fitness video.

Like the phones but still would like a smaller option. Not all of us want huge phone phones. The watch looks nice but I don't see myself buying it when I can use my phone. Also ppl need to stop complaining that it's ugly because it's not round. Round on a smart watch is just horrible for reading text. Did any of u see the reviews with ppl complaining about it on the Moto 360?

I wonder how many new people(trolls) registered Macrumors in the last 40 minutes just to bash the new apple products... (paying samsung trolls perhaps)??

well, this time, there is no need for samsung paid people.. me as apple fan, I am so dissapointed

iwatch is useful only for three things

As a watch (which is ugly)
Measure your heartbeats all the time. (freaky)
As a 24h always-in-touch-with-you notifier (give me moment Tim to relax!)

All other apps have no meaning, you can use your iPhone instead.

Oh man this is like the iPad launch all over again. Don't you people ever learn?

typical. the keynotes been stuttery and farty all the way through the announcements. U2 come on and its working perfectly. MAKE BONO HISTORY!!

But, minus Touch ID, it's almost exactly the same as the Google Wallet implementation. I had higher hopes for this keynote. I saw nothing really compelling. Just a lot of industry catch up products.

I did get a giggle out of this thread earlier when the stream was, and I am putting this lightly, having technical difficulties. Quite unApple-like.

TouchID is pretty significant. It might just be the thing that gets people using NFC. With all the hacks, contactless payment has some people and merchants spooked. Unless Google can mandate a particular fingerprint ID standard in the next version of Android, it will be difficult for them to match this feature.

u2 just took aapl almost down to its closing price from yesterday

It's probably because the watch won't ship until 2015. So it will miss the holiday cycle. Once it's out, though, I wouldn't be surprised to see it updated by the end of next year (thinner, more elegant appearance, other tweaks suggested by the fashion editors).

Or, just put the free album

on UTube...

Do they have no better way to waste money? They are building the 'starship'...now wasting money on trying to do stuff with no biz case...

Was nice knowing you :)

But those $3000 watches are stylish and you don't have to recharge them very everyday. And they do what they do best, which is to tell time. 20 years from now they won't be out dated like a smart watch.Smart watches in general are still very much in their infancy stage and are limited. Battery life is terrible and they are chunky and ugly.

3. People pay that much for iPads every day. Actually, at $350 it's one of the least expensive Apple products there is.
4. iPhones off contract are around $700.

1. Yup.
2. Kinda. I bought my Pebble for half that and I don't see a need to update it yet.
3. If you can't see the difference between an iPad (full feature primary device) and an iWatch (a partner device) then I worry.
4. What has that got to do with it?

I've got a couple nice watches and a Pebble for the "smart" stuff. I've spent more than $20 ;).

I was watching this solely for any, even tiny information on the Macs. I guess Apple has become a No-Macs-Land.

If this event would be only about the new MBA 12, it would be worth it. Screw this fashion accessories and iPhone enlargements. Not much about tech specs of either gadget. Lots of hot air though.

Eh ...

Im a huge gadget geek and even I have no interest in buying that watch. It does absolutely NOTHING different compared to other smarwartches. I was really expecting more from apple. Not even wireless charging.

I hate to say it, but if Steve Jobs were still around....

cry some more.

if you honestly think the 6 looks worse than everything before the 4 i don't know what to say...

who's "crying"? i simply made a statement. & yes it does, it's like an updated 3g

looks wise is has absolutely nothing on the 5s, not even close

Feel free to setup a live streaming engine for them that can handle millions of viewers across the globe. Also remember, Apple doesn't control the boarder routers, switches, and other equipment in various ISP services. You (and us all here) are not the only person(s) watching this keynote.

It worked after I scrolled back and didn't watch it live. Meant that it could buffer ahead of me and worked flawlessly.

..for a phone with 1 gb of ram. What, obsolete in year maybe? And still 16 gb for the entry model? Are you f...g kidding me?
(I resent more and more being so invested in the apple eco system. Hope I get the audacity to break free)

You are not required to buy the 16 gb model, so what's your problem?
