While its true that some of the features are a bit Android like, when you combine that with the existing strengths of iOS it undermines somewhat people's desire to switch to Android.

I remember people saying Android was a copy of iOS back in the day--and it was. Though that doesn't matter, competitors copy each other and improve upon those concepts. Some of the Android-like features we saw today appear to be better implemented in iOS7.

Again, its just annoying. If you have a Mac, go post about your Mac. I have an iPhone, I don't go to Android sites to tell people how great my phone is. That's insecurity. And you are letting it bother you, because you're continuing to engage with me about it bothering me...

Talk about spin. You seem pretty damn insecure to me and it's the personal attacks, which are against the rules, that are annoying. People posting their opinions of the product is not

Yep...totally agree. If it's in the base OS and already in the best product, then why bother.

enough with all this talk, time to make some money and get this new features on all my apple devices.

iPhone5s - that queue will be freaking long!! i cant wait

I guess this thread was taken over by 12 yr olds

The fandroids are all screaming apple stole their ideas when their os wouldn't even exist if it weren't for ios. If you like it so much don't switch, but I guarantee there won't be many people with iphones now coming over to your side for a couple of useless gimmicks. Stop it with the flame war already. They are both great oses

Wall St doesn't seem to happy with what's in Apple's pipeline...

The immediate reaction only matters to those who buy and sell in those moments, daytraders more or less.

The proof will reveal itself over time. The Apple bashing and the charges about them failing to "innovate" were always silly.

Brilliant! iOS 7 looks sleek and beautiful with some great new features. Mavericks looks good! MacBook Airs are cool, but why didn't they update the MacBooks Pros too? What's with that?

Every 2 years maybe, 6 was a bit too long i'm sure everyone agrees.

6? How about maybe... The App Store?

People have a tendency to blow the present out of proportion while downplaying the past. What seemed revolutionary than is everyday now.

MacBook Pros got a minor update in February.

Android trolls? Aren't people allowed to hold opinions on iOS 7 that may be negative? Yes, some may be Android trolls no doubt, but i'm pretty sure the majority who are disliking the new OS are iOS fans, users, or perhaps non-iOS users who do not hate Apple. It's the arrogant behaviour of some iOS fanboys that annoys me. I'm a long time iOS user, and still am, but just because I don't like the new design, doesn't mean that behind the computer screen I'm some Android fanatic fanboy who's got the time to slag off iOS 7.

Not a personal attack on you, but generally people need to stop making assumptions and being arrogant. There's criticism and disapproval and then there's malicious trolling. Some people need to accept some criticism rather than labelling them as an Android troll

It's not constructive criticism. Here's how their posts go:

"LOLOL Android had this two years ago, way to catch up Apple!"

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out their agenda.

I HATE these new icons, but I think ios7 is great. That's constructive criticism.

Saying "OMG, Android is so much better" is not.

But if it's focused exclusively on software, then why update only one notebook in the line, while also spilling the beans on the Mac Pro? Total lack of consistent messaging here.

It would have been far more sensible to update the entire product line of notebook computers at the same time, if indeed they want to have all units shipping with Haswell before September. I understand the Mac Pro announcement was to offer something to those consumers who have been patiently waiting for far too long, so that I can rationalize.

The way things currently sit, you have the MBA with updated processors, while the remaining notebooks now have antiquated hardware (from a market perspective). What reason does anyone have to purchase a MBP now? The way I see it, you're paying premium prices for outdated hardware, and they call this innovation?

Pa-lease.

Have the 25W Haswell chips been released yet? The MacBook Airs use the Haswell ULT processors running at 1.3GHz (2.6GHz boost). They are still slower than the 35W Ivy Bridge.

MacBook Air is their new staple, and Mac Pro is entirely new, plus they could advertise that they now have a "Made in the USA" product. Last year Apple announced the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro updates at WWDC because it was hand-in-hand with the Mountain Lion launch. However, two years ago, they simply issued a press release on a Monday morning when they updated the MacBook Air.

Actually it is insecurity when you go to a competitor or fan site and say X sucks and mine is better.

That is the definition of insecurity.

Notice how Apple doesn't need to bash Samsung in commercials? They just show how their products work. Samsung has to bash Apple, Windows phone, etc in everything they do.

That again is the definition of insecurity.

As they said in GoT last night, if you have to remind everyone that you're the King....

To hell with troll or no troll. What's with the bland icons? Looks like some kid's drawing book. iOS 6 is perfect in looks. Just add the functionalities & iOS 7 will be good.

That was the best Apple keynote in quite a few years in my opinion. This is the first time since prior to Steve Jobs death that I've felt good and confident about Apple. They really exceeded my expectations today. Some people will complain because they didn't get all the features they wanted or because they don't like change, but I personally think the products they showed today were all great and it showed me that Apple still have the ability to wow people. Great keynote.

Agree 100%. Great showing today. Cook was right - they are going to finish with a strong 2nd half to 2013.

Nervous... no.
Laughing at the praises being given for features that have been available on "other" platforms for a while now.
It is an improvement over 6 in some ways and a complete joke in others.
The color scheme selected for the new icon set is hideous.

Are you sure about that? Which features are you talking about? Which version of the other platform are you talking about? What devices on that other version of the other platform are you talking about?

Lets not talk generalities. If you are going to claim something has existed for years, it should be easy to show us where. Or at least tell us what you are talking about. Can't do that? Than you are just a troll.
