Goodbye folderenhancer, ncsettings, music pro, multitasking apps. Hello iOS7! :)
If it wasn't for the streaming apps like mb and xbmc I wouldn't have a need to Jb anymore with iOS 7 :)

We shall see if can even jailbreak iOS 7. I expect it's locked down even tighter than 6.

Short summery:

- Yay! Maverick looks cool, I'd love a faster and less cpu intensive Safari
- Mac Pro looks awesome  but I'm afraid of the price :p
- iOS7 doesn't look new, everything is just thinner
- ''Control Center'' is long overdue but is being promoted like a major breakthrough...

What's up with the new Airport Express?

Looks like they styled it after the new Mac Pro?

Weird.

I have an app(free one) that does a lot better. It has strobe and brightness settings as well.
They totally missed the boat on this. Notice they didn't show how to kill apps in the multi task screen? Probably still have to wiggle and kill them one at a time.

Fine, use that. for all of the people that don't use a camera flash for a strobe light, this is fine.

No rMBP updates? :\

I'm expecting the Fall keynote to have this, the Retina iPad mini, the new iPhone and maybe a couple of other goodies from the Mac line (doubt the Mac Pro is that far along, but maybe) in time for the holidays and the launch of Mavericks and iOS to tie up loose ends.

It tends to be very slow for me even for on phone actions due to all the voice data being fired off to apple.

It goes without saying that siri is worse with a slow internet connection, which for me is most of the time (I hate living in the UK sometimes!), but even when I've got ~70Mbps at work it tends to be just slow enough to make it easier for me to do whatever I want manually.

Plus I see the "I'm sorry I can't do that right now" way too often. Maybe apple prioritise US traffic, I don't know.

I live int he American northeast, where we have supposedly solid coverage, and probably 40% of the time I end up canceling what Siri is working on and do it myself because the icon just spins and spins and spins.

iOS 7 is so unbelievably ugly. They've gone all Windows 8 on me. I hate it. And I hate Jony Ive. All my fears about flat and thin design materialized. It's so sad. :(

I liked how that video on youtube looked better than the actual ios 7. If your going to go solid colour go black not white and save some battery life.

With just seeing pictures, and not the video, or having that actual os on my phone it looks like an android, windows and facebook baby that got beat with an ugly stick. The icons just look non uniform with each other and odd.

Didn't really see anything new and it sounds like icloud is still a closed ecosystem. Sorry I don't use iWork. Most of the world uses office and will continue. Why do Apple and Google feel they have to be everytype of application/service instead of invotating there own and specializing at OS features and fuctionality?

I will reserve final judgement till watching the keynote and actually using ios 7 but I wasn't really impressed.

I love love love, Ive's physical designs maybe he should stick to that. Apple should higher the dude that made that made the ios prediction video on youtube. That looked pretty.

Feel free to flame away.

You swipe them up, they have demo vids on apples website now.

It's ASSEMBLED in the USA. That means of the 100% of production time, now maybe 10% is done in the USA. The rest is still manufactured elsewhere. Regardless, this is a good thing development.

Made in the USA, Assembled in the USA..... It's like saying Firewire 2 when the intent was Thunderbolt 2. :p

6? How about maybe... The App Store?

People have a tendency to blow the present out of proportion while downplaying the past. What seemed revolutionary than is everyday now.

Multi-tasking is a massive feature, for me anyway, and ios has always been a let down. Sorry, io7 was a couple of years too late.

I think Android was the first to do that when they switched their systems to touch after the iPhone.

Smartphones were already migrating to the touch screen before both the iPhone and Android phones came out, so don't be thinking they were unique to the iPhone.

Apple and Jonny really pulled it off! Talk about hitting a home run. I was not sure if iOS would really be that different but it was and then some. Not only that but OSX Mavericks as well and both beta's available today!

Is that why they went from a $5 gain to a $4 loss on the exchange when normally they close on highs after these?

This has actually been a sad WWDC. The iOS change was needed though.

You hate Jony Ive? Ever used an Apple product?

Hahaha -

"iOS IS STALE AND BORING WE NEED CHANGE!!"

"ARGHH WE HATE CHANGE, WHY CHANGE FOR CHANGE SAKE WHEN IT ISN'T BROKEN!"

I expect, when iOS7 hits the mainstream upon realise, my Facebook newsfeed will be full of people moaning about it looking different and not understanding how to use it.

As for the color scheme I'll reserve judgment until I see it. Apple is like BMW in that both companies products can only be fully appreciated in real life.

Speaking of BMW, I don't like how BMW was conspicuously left off Apple's list of car manufacturers.

Remains to be seen. I understand now why the rumor was 'polarizing'.

Well it seems to be getting a thumbs up on twitter. I expected people to rip on it just because its cool to rip on apple. But maybe Ive wears Teflon. :D

That's fine with me, but you can expect Wall Street to react to that. Samsung's overtaking them in phone sales, and now Apple needs six more months. That's going to be a lot of lost revenue. Hopefully, they'll release an awesome phone and tablet in time for XMas.

But Cook said that 2 weeks ago, so it should already be priced into the stock. Also, Samsung's stock seems to have hit a wall, too. The Street is worried that the 10 million units sold last month was a flash in the pan.

Let's face it. Game changers don't happen very often. I've said this time and time again, but the next "game changer" (phone or wearable device) is probably waiting for true flexible displays (and flexible electronics to power it). Samsung's CEO said that a commercially viable flexible display is probably 3 years away.

Until then, we'll see lots of gimmicks from iOS, Google, and Samsung. That's probably what the market is realizing. Apple's growth will probably come from making a cheaper phone. We'll find out later this year, and no one should have been expecting any more clues today. That said, I think the software enhancements today may be laying the groundwork for new hardware in the future (e.g. getting rid of the home button).
