Is this the least original Apple keynote ever?

more like:

all companies - nearing equilibrium.
is this apple's most up-to-date keynote ever?

how much is there in non-VR tech that can be done? they're all leveling the playing field and the tweens squawked and blew a bunch of hot air about which one did it fastest. who cares.

It's definitely revolutionary and new and revolutionary world's first features.

And don't forget windows 10 new snap feature too (where it lets you chose new windows)

Yeah, and those were features people complained that OS X and iOS didn't have and now they get them....so just stop. And let's not forget that those above companies you mentioned all copied Apple more than once.

Lets not forget the ROOTS...MacOS was the first in 84', iOS first in 2007 ,Apple Store first, so BIG ideas are from APPLE

Agreed, it would be nice, but until they start offering decent graphics hardware, I'm not seeing the point.

Many gamers don't play on the latest hardware. You can still have an excellent gaming experience without the bleeding edge graphics. That being said it would be nice to have an option for SLI and things like that on the higher-end iMac configurations. Perhaps if they move to the 32" size there will be room, lol.

So, by that argument Apple is allowed to copy any feature from Microsoft/Google/Samsung because they had the big ideas first?

These are very specific features that have been almost identically duplicated. The Windows 8 side-by-side multitasking demo was shameless.

To me, it was marketed as always as the be all and end all of a release, but it was more like an update, throw ion a few little things that are free, then throw an a US$120 per year way to listen to music.
Okay, but if this were your company you would do the same thing. Don't deny. No company in their right mind (especially a publicly traded one) would be nonchalant when introducing new features in their products. It's bad business to do so and it makes it appear that said company has very little confidence in their products.

So would you have rather they not bothered to implement these features? Many people wanted them.

Yeah, thinking about it more my notes end up getting scattered between a few different drawing apps and the main notes app. It's hard to keep it all together. You don't always need fancy brushes and controls to get some basic ideas down. Disappointed the Apple Watch didn't get a Notes app as it would be handy to quickly bring up my Notes on there.

Real question is how many companies like Blizzard are going to rewrite all their code to use metal.. probably none.

Well to each his own but I dunno about reading notes on a Watch screen. Too small.

Absolutely. If you listen to Radio 1 in the UK this is almost a carbon copy. Cool DJs, great music. People are going to love this around the world.

What's the betting they'll launch beats2, beats3 etc next year with a more focussed playlist dedicated to specific music genres like dance or country.

Beats 5Live, for live sports! Is 5Live still a thing?

Use onenote. Had these features a long time ago, syncs across all devices, not just apple. Same drag & drop interface. And even has an apple watch. A lot more powerful too and allows live updating (while you are typing, another device will show the updates right away)

hahahahaha oh how I could literally dig up HUNDREDS of posts on this very site, from members stating how RAM does not matter!! And 1GB was more then enough...... hahaha.

Waiting for them to announce the iPads they are dropping for iOS9 support.... Apple is a master of price gouging.

Yeah people around here just don't get it. For most uses it's fine, but mobile devices are pretty limited. The reason their tabs don't stay open? Well partly because Safari sucks but also because of limited RAM. Also helps apps to keep from getting closed out when switching around in the background. And now this multitasking. I'm amazed at how many people are upset that only the Air 2 gets the advanced multitasking when my iPhone 6 with 1GB of RAM has enough trouble running stable without crashing.

They didn't drop support for any devices. That's pretty crazy. Some might say they price gouge but how many Android tablets from spring 2011 and phones from autumn 2011 are going to be able to run Android M? I hope the optimization just isn't doublespeak. iOS really needs a cleanup.

I think a new atv os would have made more people happy than all the money wasted on the paid music sub category. I don't see apple winning over the music sub business.

Dammit, I want a new title.

Edit: I got one! Hahahahaha.

LOL, grats on bursting through that 1000 post threshold! These keynote days really bump up the post count as things are moving so quickly and posts to the same thread don't get auto-merged. I could have sworn that I wouldn't go to 601 until 5000 posts but I guess I hit it early.

Yes, it is. without Apple, we had no windows, or android, or touch smarphones.

Many Samsung users wanted Apple features, but when Samsung copied them they got sued to high heaven by Apple, and slated by all the tech press.
Why should it be any different when Apple copies Google/Microsoft/Samsung features, just because their users want them?

I understood it just fine.

:apple:Music is basically twitter for music. It's really not that hard to understand. I think it's really cool to have everything about your artist in one screen on your mobile device. Myspace was kinda like this.

So much talk, not much clarification..

And this event is way drawn out.
